A thoughtfully designed, contemporary, second floor loft in an 1880s Main Street building, warm, open, and perfectly situated for a Finger Lakes getaway.
Located in the heart of Penn Yan, The Loft is an open-plan apartment that blends historic character with a clean, contemporary aesthetic, offering a quiet and comfortable retreat in the center of town. Warm wood tones, comfortable furnishings, and dimmable lighting create a calm, inviting atmosphere throughout the loft, while exposed spiral ductwork introduces a subtle contemporary contrast and the original window openings maintain a connection to the building's history.

The layout is fully open, with kitchen, dining, living, and sleeping areas all located within one expansive room. The Loft offers a comfortable and well-composed home base for a Finger Lakes getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, a dishwasher, and coffeemaker, and sits adjacent to a dining area anchored by a large table crafted from reclaimed wood sourced from the building itself.
The living area features a comfortable sofa and large TV, while the sleeping area includes a king bed. A dedicated desk/work area is located near the bedroom zone, offering a quiet place to work if needed. The full bathroom includes a tub/shower, and a full-size washer and dryer are located just outside the bathroom for guest use.

The first floor below the apartment is a retail space with standard daytime hours. The building has been configured to provide strong acoustic separation between floors.

EV charging is available at the town library- 2 blocks away and just a short 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Anniversary Trip

Pen Yan is a small town with a couple of shops and a few more restaurants. Lots of them were closed in the beginning of the week and also closed early (8pm). It was nice to have this to walk to! People very friendly. The Loft was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Is above a Plant store now that is new! Bathroom is small but fine if you know that going in. Lots of stairs going up to the unit.

Love The Loft

Our growing family no longer fits comfortably in the lake house - The Loft was the perfect overflow alternative. It has a great vintage vibe of the original downtown, but with a modern touch. Highlights include: large open space, comfortable king bed, delicious restaurants and coffee shop below. The bathroom is small, but uses the space well. Hope to return to the lake next summer and stay at the Sheridan House again!

in downtown Penn Yan - stores near- easy to reach trails, parks, wineries, other villages. You have to be fit to climb the stairs.

Property was exactly as described. Very clean, crisp bedding, comfortable tv area. The AC is loud but that is the nature of the building, and we didn’t need it for long. Large, beautiful windows and easy check-in and check-out process. Parking was plentiful. We loved the location!

The loft is located very conveniently to a lot of local attractions. There are nice coffee shops, taverns and restaurants close as well., The loft itself was very nicely furnished and includes all the necessities we needed. Very clean and well kept. Check in and the access code was a breeze

Great central location to visit Keuka Lake, Canandaigua Lake and west Seneca Lake. Clean, gorgeous property. Everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. The coffee shop downstairs was perfect for the mornings, the parking was easy. Great communication before the stay about what to expect, check in/out and stuff to do in the area. Will definitely be back!!

Convenient to everything, Penn Yan and beyond

This rental is exactly as listed and the photos show -- it's clean, comfortable and convenient! We made several trips to Ithaca and Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and enjoyed the many shops and restaurants Penn Yan has to offer. Despite the Canadian wildfire smoke, we had a great week!

Hands down this is one of the best equipped and well organized kitchens that we have encountered for people who actually intend to cook. The accommodations were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only downside to the property is that it is at the top of 21 steep stairs. But exercise is good....right? Lovely property centrally located in the Finger Lakes and a short drive to Wegman for groceries. This is a lovely property that we would not hesitate to book in the future.

Penn Yan gem

The accommodations were perfect for a Friend’s finger lake wedding. We really wanted to stay somewhere close to the wedding party but wanted an authentic-small town vibe. The loft was clean and convenient to everything in town. Penn Yan has great charm and the accommodations truly highlighted the great bones of the area. We had no issues and Getting in and out of the building was very simple.
