While the cottage was in a lovely location and it was great seeing the old trains going past occasionally, we were actually a little disappointed with it otherwise.
The cottage was quite grubby in places, especially the kitchen extractor fan which had dirt and grease dripping from it. There was also a lot of cobwebs scattered about.
You're provided with strict instructions on how to separate waste (otherwise they'll charge you a fee) and say anything going in the general waste bin must be in a black bin bag which would be fine except they don't have any black bin bags in the house. When I asked the host they said I might be able to find some in the building behind the property if I went digging around in there, but it was padlocked so we just gave up and used a public bin for our extra rubbish.
There's no side table or anything next to the sofas so any drinks you have you either have to keep hold of or put on the floor.
Also worth noting that most of the pictures in the listing are many years old, the place looks a lot more tired now. There were a few other bits we were disappointed with but these were the main bits.
