Haussmann apartment completely redone in late 2013 (complaints, interior doors, fireplaces and original parquet floor which retains all its charm - thermal and sound insulation) in a building located on one of the beautiful squares in Périgueux.

This apartment consists of a large living room (living room, library (armchair replaced by a Karup futon 1 sleeping place), dining room, kitchen (very bright), 42m², a first bedroom of 13m² ( 160 bedding) accompanied by a shower room (2.60m²) with large shower, a second bedroom of 14m² (160 bedding - Ethernet socket), a last bedroom of 10.5m² (90 bedding), '' a large bathroom of 6.6m² + shower and cupboards, an independent WC and a balcony surrounding the whole apartment.

Wonderful apartment, perfect location and host

I absolutely loved this apt. and the old city of Perigueux! Everything I needed and all the activities were within a 2 to 15 minute walk - post office, grocery store, walking tours, bakeries, restaurants, everything! I have stayed in several VRBO rentals over the years, and Francis is, by far, the best host I have ever met! He is so caring, attentive and helpful, and can’t do enough for you. He communicated regularly to be sure everything was okay with my stay. It was a wonderful month’s stay. Thank you, Francis, for sharing your home and for being a true Superhost!

Wonderful stay in Perigueux

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment. Situated a short walk from the centre, it is an ideal location to explore Perigueux and the Dordogne. The property is well appointed, bright and airy with a lovely balcony, and Francis a wonderful host - who kindly bought us fresh flowers and a bottle of local wine to welcome us. A very enjoyable week!

Perigueuex Gem

We have just returned from our holiday in Perigueux. We were at the apartment for two weeks . The apartment owner Francis, was extremely attentive and warm. We have stayed across Europe in various Vrbo's but this was the first time that we found an apartment that was so well equipped , beautifully furnished ,and spacious. The apartment is conveniently located within walking distance to the Old town. Those interested should try St Louis restaurant and best sorbet in our opinion Herve Robin. We had an amazing time and Francis's is apartment is well worth the stay. Thank you Francis.

Top marks for a superb stay - 5 star!

We had a totally enjoyable stay at this apartment. It is spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and is equipped with everything you could ever need for a relaxing stay in the heart of a beautiful city. Parking is easy all around the surrounding streets and the neighborhood has all the shops and restaurants you will ever need. Francis is the perfect host - helpful and friendly. Everything was perfect and we are looking forward to planning a return visit as soon as possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and host. It would definitely be our first choice when visiting this region again.

Lovely break for weary travelers

We arrived in Pèrigueux hours later than expected after our bus broke down and we had to catch another. Francis had been waiting around for us all day but was very warm and welcoming. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and if you love to cook, there is everything you could ever want in the kitchen. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, the balcony goes all the way around, I could go on and on... Francis's place exceeded expectations and we felt "at home" from the moment we walked in. We appreciated all the little touches. Francis was very friendly and easy to communicate with whenever we had a question or a problem. We were sad to leave!

Wonderful vacation!

From start to finish, we enjoyed our stay. Francis and Veronique were very welcoming and responsive to our every need. We were able to easily walk everywhere. We highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Périgueux, however long your stay.

Dordogne - at last

The apartment was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. It was very tastefully furnished and decorated, and Francis and Veronique were very welcoming, and took great pains to show us round the apartment, and how to operate the dishwasher/washing machine, etc. There are a number of bars and restaurants within a short walk. On-street parking could be problematic, however there is a large underground car park 5 mins. away where we were able to leave our hire car safely parked overnight, for less than 7 Euros. Notwithstanding the ongoing heatwave, we had a great holiday , using Perigueux as a hub. Should we return to Perigueux, we will certainly look to rent out this apartment once more.

A truly lovely place to stay

One of the most comfortable and tasteful places we have ever stayed at. Only a few blocks from the historic section with cafes and shops, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Our hosts were so gracious and thoughtful and made our stay in Perigueux special. Highly recommended! The apartment was very well equipped, as well, and beautifully decorated and lighted. A wonderful home away from home.

We stayed a fortnight in this apartment in June, and can honestly say it the best apartment we have ever stayed in as far as being like a home from home. Everything we needed was there. Veronique and her family were superb, warm, friendly, kind and considerate. We could not fault them. The apartment is ideally situated, with everything in walking distance. Although there is no actual parking with the property this is not a problem as there is always parking on the streets available. A definite 10 out of 10

My partner and I have just returned home after spending a week in Francis and Veronique’s apartment and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. The apartment is amazing, beautifully decorated, spacious, light and airy and extremely comfortable. We always looked forward to returning to the comfort of the apartment after an evening out, when we usually watched a movie or two on DVD before retiring to bed. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable, we both slept like logs every night. The balcony is enormous and wraps right around the building. There are fresh strawberries, mint and thyme growing in pots on the balcony where I thoroughly enjoyed my reading my book with an afternoon coffee. When we arrived there were fresh flowers on the table, wine, milk and orange juice in the fridge and a basket of lovely walnuts. We opened the door one morning to find a lovely basket of fresh mushrooms – what a lovely touch. We made a delicious mushroom omelette for breakfast. We didn’t get to meet Francis, but Veronique and their son Antoine met us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome right from the start. Veronique is a lovely warm person and Antoine is a lovely handsome and charming young man, it was a pleasure to meet them. The location of the apartment is terrific – only about a five minute walk into town and there are lots of eating places right on your doorstep. Booking the apartment was easy and communication with Francis was excellent from start to finish. I would highly recommend this beautiful apartment and would love to return in the future. Thank you Francis, Veronique and Antoine for being so welcoming and friendly, it made our holiday very special. Linda and Stuart Glasgow, Scotland

A beautiful well equipped apartment very close to the centre.

Francis and Veronique were very welcoming and Veronique was very helpful in showing us their beautiful apartment. Flowers and wine were a lovely touch. The only occasional problem was finding a parking space but that never became a major problem. The town centre was only 5 minutes walk away where we found many restaurants and cafes.

Beautiful spot in Perigueux

Three of us stayed at Frances' apartment for 23 nights in September-October. This apartment is everything you want. It is on the 2nd floor (3rd if you start with ground) with no elevator. It is on a lovely square with plants and a fountain about 2-3 blocks from the old medevil city. In the old city there is lots of shopping, big twice weekly market and many restaurants. There are cafes, restaurants and a supermarket even closer. The apartment itself has a modern and fully equiped kitchen. We found everything necessary to cook during our stay. There are movies, CDs and many tv channels. WiFi worked well. The main rooms all have doors to a balcony that wraps around 2 sides. There are 2 rooms with sink and shower and one also has a tub. There is 1 toilet room. Francis and Veronique are wonderful hosts and provided extra help when we needed it (car accident) and many extras at the apartment (flowers, fruit, detailed guide to the apartment and neighborhood, complimentary assorted drinks, all sorts of supplies, fresh herbs and tomatoes growing on the balcony, fresh flowers and linens mid stay and more). They were available to help with questions as well. They live here part of the year so this is much more than a "bare bones" rental. We had a car and were able to find free street parking within a block or so most days. We used this as a base and took day trips in all directions to see the Perigord region. We also found interesting things to do and explore on foot in Perigueux. We are very pleased that we chose this apartment and this town.

Perfect Perigueux Apartment

Our party of 3 generations spent a wonderful week in Perigueux at Francis and Veronique's beautiful apartment. The apartment was bright and lovely, very comfortably furnished, well decorated, and impeccably clean. Our hosts met us at the apartment on our arrival and showed us the location of everything in the apartment, how to use the washing machine, dishwasher etc. The location of the apartment was great and we enjoyed the walkability to amenities and sites. There was a very helpful binder with suggestions for parking, restaurants, groceries, markets, sites and more in the apartment along with maps and tourism books for the area. The bedrooms were all good size with comfortable beds and nice linens, the bathrooms were very nice and modern with very nice finishes. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed having the doors to the terrace open with the view over the fountain. We were able to find free parking within a couple of blocks each day without much trouble. We would absolutely stay again and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer this time!

Amazing!

Our group of four spent a wonderful week at this amazing apartment in Perigueux. The space is great, the apartment well furnished, the location exceptional. Our host Francis was just outstanding. Only one of our group had much French fluency, and Francis is more comfortable speaking French, so we communicated mostly in French. It didn't matter at all, and in fact enhanced the experience. He made sure that all was going well via email and even brought some flowers by the apartment to "provide some sunshine" after a couple of cloudy, drizzly days. We hope to return soon to this wonderful apartment in a wonderful part of the world. If there were a sixth star to give I would certainly give it!

Comfortable, well appointed apartment

Very nice three bedroom apartment, recently renovated, very comfortable. Owners were very nice and accommodating, even with the language barrier. Prompt email replies. Fun to be able to look over the neighborhood during the day. Very little traffic at night. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Charming town. The apartment is located across the street from the police station. While there was little to zero noise associated with law enforcement, the station is open 24 hours a day. Weather was warm so we had the doors open at night. Officers talking and taking continuous cigarette breaks all night just on the street below was annoying. Plus kind of wanted to go over and put some WD-40 on the squeaky precinct door. Would recommend this property to fellow travelers. Easy day trips to Sarlot, Bergerace and scenic cliff side towns along the Dordogne River.

Superb flat! Beautifully furnished with balcony on two sides, one overlooking a quiet square. The owner, Francis, couldn't have been more welcoming and had not only left food, water and wine in the fully equipped kitchen but also flowers in each room. We had a wonderful stay here.

Sehr gute Ausstattung der Wohnung - von der Küche bis zur CD-Sammlung. Sehr nette und großzügige Vermieter.
