Front desk staff needs some retraining

We have stayed at the Otonabee Inn 5 or 6 times during visits to see family in the area. We love the location and have never had any problems before. This visit was tainted by our check-in experience. Never have I been treated so rudely by front desk staff in a hotel anywhere. Never. I don’t know if the young woman greeting us was just having a reallyyyy bad day, but I was gobsmacked by her condescending tone as were my friends who listened nearby. If this was my first experience, I’m not sure I would come back. All other staff—housekeeping, breakfast—were delightful, as usual.

Rooms are cozy, clean and beds are super comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Out back of Hotel is beautiful sitting area (gazebo for shade) beside a river. LOVED it!!
