Escape to this secluded chalet-style cottage perched on a wooded bluff above Michigan’s world-famous Tunnel of Trees, where views of Lake Michigan meet the serenity of northern woods.
Tucked on the inland side of M-119, this private getaway offers exclusive beach access just across the road and sits on more than an acre of forest. Both the cottage and beach face north meaning that you have views of both sunrise and sunset from the beach.
Inside, the cottage is cozy yet spacious, with gathering and relaxation spaces across three levels. The main level features a full kitchen, dining area, and a large living room with a vintage fireplace and TV. Off the first level is a three-season room, and a large deck that overlooks Lake Michigan. The top level includes a master suite with a king bed and private deck, plus a second bedroom with twin beds and a trundle. The lower level offers a cozy bedroom/living space with four twin beds, a three-quarter bath.
The cottage has high speed fiber optic internet, central air (new in 2026) and heat, and full laundry facilities. Along with a fully equipped kitchen, two streaming tvs, and an abundant supply of board games. Outdoors, enjoy a fire pit, stone patio, and propane and charcoal grills. Guests may also use two kayaks or touring bikes for scenic rides to nearby Good Hart or Cross Village along the Tunnel of Trees.
