The property was very centrally located to a number of walkable shops, restaurants, and gym. We were staying for Villanova family weekend and it was 5 minutes from campus. The host was very accommodating for an early check-in. The one area that didn’t feel appropriately represented was the sleeping space in the finished 3rd floor. It was two tiny futons that were not at all usable for teenagers as their feet were hanging off the end. It’s more appropriately represented as sleeping for 6 vs 8, unless you have small children.

Great Place to Stay

My family and I made our first trip ever to Pennsylvania for the Bohring-Opitz Syndrome Family Meet-Up (a very rare syndrome my younger son has). We did not want to stay in the hotel where they were hosting because we prefer to have a place all to ourselves. I found “Sophia’s Garden Chalet” that was 10 minutes from the event. We absolutely loved our stay here! It was super clean, very well decorated, and actually very spacious for a duplex (My older son kept wanting to play hide-n-seek). We’re from Texas, so I was excited about the basement. Lol!Also, the crib provided in the attic/loft space was great for our BOS son to have a place to sleep. My only critique is I wished the upstairs shower had a little more power to it. The street was very quaint and I loved the church across the street. There were plenty of places to shop and restaurants right around the corner. We will definitely stay here again for the next BOS Family Meet-Ups we come to. I really cannot wait to visit Bryn Mawr again! Thank you for providing us a great place to stay.
