We stayed here at the end of our tour of Cambodia. We stayed at five star properties the whole trip and were frankly underwhelmed by Raffles in comparison. Essentially, it was the low season and they were short staffed. Concierge was often unattended, not enough staff around the pool that was often occupied with max guests. For the price we paid (for a shockingly small room that they advertised as a suite) we felt that the attentiveness to us as guest staying for four nights was lacking. In a more positive note, staying at Raffles is like stepping back in time and the actual building and the grounds and decor is lovely to spend time around. It’s just a bit soulless when it comes to the service.

The Raffles Hotel is a stunning example of a colonial time. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast choice and quality is absolutely great. The rooms are quiet and offer the peaceful athmosphere to relax from a busy work day. The Elephant Bar is a great place to relax in style. Perfect hotel to syay in Phnom Phen.

The hotel was good and the staff's we're courteous. The concierge was always empty without anyone. English-speaking staffs were not there. There's no one to guide tourist attractions when we approached traveldesk. The complementary tuktuk driver was very rude to tell me that he's busy in the afternoon and and told me to pickup your own transport. I never expected this to happen in a 5 star hotel. The complementary facilities available was not well communicated leaving me guessing. I wanted to spend my milestone celebration and was not satisfied for the money spent in this hotel.
