I booked my family's stay here for a graduation at ASU, expecting it to be comparable to other Graduate locations I've stayed at, and that was unfortunately not the case. I wish I had chosen another option that would have cost less but was happy to pay a higher price in hopes it would align with my previous experiences.
While the staff and service were all friendly and great, the property leaves much to be desired. It seems that the former building was dressed up, with some nice furnishings and the like but still retains some features and a lack of detail that doesn't match what I've come to expect from Graduate hotels.
The walls and elevator seem beaten up and painted over, but not enough to cancel their age or wear. They kept the former light as air dooes that feel flimsy when you open and close them. The seams on the wallpaper in the restroom are evident and visible and in some cases even cracked. The AC unit in the room worked but could never seem to get the room to an ideal cool temperature. The on site bar area service was good but again appeared worn down.
If you're looking to for a more boutique like hotel experience near ASU I'd look elsewhere until more improvements are made.
