A perfect stay

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place in Tempe. Very nice hotel. Very clean. Loved our room with a king size bed and a comfortable L-shaped sofa. Nicely designed room. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time for breakfast or the gym so can’t comment on it. Front desk young ladies were nice and professional.

This was a one night stay to attend a show in a venue not far from the hotel. The staff was excellent; so accommodating! Kudos to Graham ( the shuttle driver) who drove us to and from the venue. Although it was only 4-5 blocks away, the venue is in an industrial area and hard to negotiate. He was waiting for us when the show was over. Above and beyond expectations. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Only negatives were the sound of the AC ( very loud) and the functional design of the bathroom. It's very tight and the privacy door goes inward, so using the toilet or entering the shower requires some door maneuvering.

We enjoyed our stay at this location and stayed here twice on our trip (first/last portion of our vacation). It is very close to the airport and they offer shuttle service which was helpful. The staff was very nice and helped us with adjoining rooms so our kids could easily run back and forth and play with their cousins in the next room. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here when visiting next time.

I am retired thus not staying current with the state of the hospitality industry so I did not expect to encounter a Hyatt so rundown and poorly maintained. Our room’s bathroom is a disgrace. It is a large room with one of those tiny bathrooms where you must move to an uncomfortable place to open the door to exit. The shower is a wrench which was poorly repaired to be an even bigger wreck. It was hotel 6 gross. The toilet seat slid around the toilet which is an easy repair but I wasn’t going to do it.
