Problems getting there

The hotel is nice and new, however getting there is problematic. You have to take a taxi to the port for the ferry. The ferry was late, so we waited in extreme heat for almost an hour. The ferry was packed and unsafe, scary. Once we arrived on Yao Yai we had no way of getting to the hotel, so we had to hire a driver. After I insisted the hotel reimbursed the driver. Once we were finally there it was nice.

This is not 5 star hotel as advertised. It is 3 star hotel at most. The location is good, probably best on the island, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms are noisy because of thin walls and breakfast is rather poor. If you want fresh eggs prepare to wait about 20 min. The area is not cleaned properly and guests are not very friendly. Mostly families with kids. Not much relaxation here. We always went further away from the hotel to have some tranquility. Nothing really to do on the island apart from getting on tours to other islands.

UPS and downs

Room did not look pictures from Hotels.com. Chinese themed and materials that felt like at least 20 ears back in time. Ordered double bed but got twin. No excuse and no compensation. They were sold out. Breakfast was 3star hotel, but plus for eggstation. Two coffee machines were working hard and made everyone wait long lines from 7 till 1030. Every day. Best thing thoug, is AMAZING location at the beach with possible sunsets. Had a great one the first night. Beach was very very clean and bar by the pool/beach made decent drinks. Pool was also very nice !

Familie hotel med et stort problem og nogle mindre . der var desværre flere af hotellets gæster der havde behov for at ryge hash. Dette gjorde de både på hotellets offentlige områder og på deres terrasser om aftenen . I vores familie er vi ikke interesserede i at opdrage med at euforiserende stoffer er ok . Vi henvendte os derfor til ledelsen , som ikke ville gøre noget ved problemet . Jo de opgraderede os , hvilket da var pænt af dem - men helt unødvendigt . Så hvis du som børnefamilie har samme tilgang , så vælg et andet hotel . • derudover så var hotellet ok - lidt kedeligt . • personalet havde slet ikke den sædvanlige Thai tilgang til gæster . • de 2 kaffe maskiner til morgenmaden , var ikke I nærheden af at være nok . Der er lidt at arbejde med , hvis man vil kalde sig et seriøst familie hotel .
