Absolutely stunning location, the views are breathtaking. The wooden architecture is amazing and very unique. We had a garden view room in Hotel 2 - we were lucky enough to have a partial sea view as well. We liked the location of our hotel as it was very central, if you’re in hotel 6 or 7 I imagine this would be more inconvenient given the distance from the main areas. The main pool area is great with plenty of sun beds. The infinity pool is a smaller area and we were not lucky enough to get a sun bed there. The beach is gorgeous - calm water so great for snorkelling / kayaking / paddle boarding. The staff were friendly. We stayed for Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas Eve buffet and entertainment. Great breakfasts with beautiful views.
The hotel is expensive for Thailand so we would recommend eating out at the local restaurants rather than at the resort. Although the resort says the private ferry to the hotel is compulsory it is not - we came from Phi Phi so got the ferry to a different port on the island and then a taxi to the resort. At times, the service felt a little impersonal as you use a QR code to order food/drinks.
Overall, we had a great Christmas and really enjoyed the resort.
