When we arrived we were told that chocolate pudding and ice cream would be served for everyone at 8pm - such a nice touch!

Easy to locate. Handy spot. Owner extremely welcoming and we were very impressed with the free dessert offered that night and full breakfast the next morning. Beds were comfortable too. Would stay there again

The property was handy to town and the Ferry. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the lace was clean and a good deal for the cost.

Amazing! For the price we paid couldn’t fault it. I had prepared our family for a cheap place to rest our heads to break our journey. I was prepared for grotty but overwhelmed with clean, fresh and overflowing with a family atmosphere. Not to mention the amazing cheap rate included breakfast, soup and chocolate pudding with ice cream. Will recommend 100%.

After a long day around Wellington and a trip on the inter-islander ferry to Picton it was lovely to be welcomed so warmly by Nikki the manager who settled us into our room, then with a tap-tap on our door at 7:15pm we find Nikki with three big mugs of homemade vegetable soup and a round of bread and butter to go with the soup, which we have to say was beautiful. Then at 8:00pm another tap-tap on the door with Nikki and three bowls in hand of homemade hot chocolate butterscotch pudding and ice-cream (YUM). Not only was this above and beyond in the way of service Nikki also informed us there was cereal and bread for toasting with a multitude of spreads to choose from, also tea/coffee to help ourselves in the morning before we head off on the next leg of our journey. While Sequoia Lodge is an older establishment the service is second to none. Highly recommend 10/10
