Cabin Near Cal Ripken Experience
Overall, we were satisfied with the cabin but it could have been better. We were in town for the Cal Ripken Experience. It was very close to the fields (10 minutes), which was important to us. It also allowed dogs and was near restaurants / grocery stores. It is on a very steep hill. There are other cabins near it - one shares the driveway. The cabin is older, which was expected. The walls are thin and you can hear everything throughout the cabin. The beds were very old and the mattresses definitely need updating. The sheets were stained on two of the beds. The only kitchen item that was missing was a pizza cutter; otherwise, they had everything. The outside of the cabin needs some landscaping, mowing, and downright attention. The weeds were to our knees and there were random pots of hostas sitting around. We brought our dog (a black lab) who wouldn't even utilize the fenced in area - it was small with barely any grass (except for the random knee high weeds). The fire pit is outside of the fenced in area. We didn't utilize it due to time but also because the chairs and bench around it were wood and somewhat falling apart. We would have possibly gotten splinters just sitting on them. The grill is a charcoal grill that you would find at a park. We didn't utilize the hot tub but it was newer and looked clean. The deck around the cabin is nice with decent views. When we arrived there was a ton of leaves, twigs, and debris on it, so we did sweep it off.

Bear Necessities
We had a great family trip to Pigeon Forge. We were there for a short weekend trip. Overall great trip! The property is in a great location, close enough to the main road that we had easy access to food and entertainment throughout our trip and also far enough out that we still had a great mountain experience while at the cabin. The house is super cute and has a fun bear theme which our 2 girls loved. The fenced in yard was a bonus and very nice for letting the pup out especially on our rainy day. The home was overall very neat and tidy and we had a lot of fun while we were there. The hot tub was nice and tucked away off the back deck. A couple of negatives that could have been better were the bed and tv situations. The main floor bedrooms were a bit smaller than we anticipated and while the advertisement says the beds are both queens, they definitely slept more like a full size and were very uncomfortable. I can understand not having the best of the best in your rental home but these mattresses needed an upgrade. While the home was well equipped with tv's in every room, we had trouble using any of them because every one we tried had some sort of issue. While we found it possible to stream, it was incredibly difficult to get the Spectrum on any of them and the living room tv remotes were not working so we were unable to use it at all. While the owners did leave instructions on how to use the remotes to get them to work, it didn't ever work for us. This could use improvement.

Pleasant Getaway
The house was nice for our stay. However coming from out of town in the dark, there needs to be more lights on the outside of the house and maybe a light left on in the inside especially realizing later in our stay that a very large bear frequents the neighborhood and woods around the house. This house needs a caged garbage can area because the bear visited the house the second night looking for food in the garbage can on the porch. We were smart enough not to put anything outside until we left but it didn’t stop him from tearing open the can and shredding the plastic bag. The garbage can at the end of the driveway was completely full our entire stay and was knocked over every morning. The cabin was very clean but is an older one that could benefit from some updates. Overall we enjoyed our stay because the cabin was close to everything! The ability to bring our fur babies and having a fenced in yard was a plus as well!

We loved it!
We enjoyed our stay. Only thing was, there was hair left on the shower wall, and there was dirt on the sheets under the quilt. I’d also recommended putting lights out back for dog owners who need to take their dogs outside to use the bathroom at night. I will say, they weren’t very helpful when it came to our area being flooded. Even tho pigeon forge wasn’t, we were in our hometown, they were rude when it came to it and like I said wasn’t helpful. We enjoyed it but won’t be back due to the poor customer service.

Worked for what we needed
We sincerely appreciate that we were able to travel with our dogs. The setup was great for them. One thing they should add is a gate for the deck. It is a very wide entrance and not really ways to block it off.
Everything was as expected. I just highly doubt they wash the comforters on the beds between quests. We had what we needed. The host/rental agency is very nice to deal with, very kind and pleasant.
The only thing I think should be noted in the property description is that fact that you can clearly hear the fireworks from Dollywood. If anyone (kids or pets) in your party is sensitive to noise then please note you can clearly hear the fireworks (as well as see them). Seeing them is nice but the train horn and fireworks every day is not nice when you have a rescue dog that is traumatized by loud noises. Or if you have a child with sound sensitivities. On top of that, sound travels in this cabin! You can hold a whole convo with people downstairs without raising your voice. I do suggest bringing a fan or sound conditioner for sleep.
Overall, everything was as expected and no serious complaints.

very nice
Very nice cabin, my 2 dogs loved it as well. large divided fence in the back yard for any size dog which is super important to me, Cabin is very clean and comfortable. I would definately come back and highly recommend. just know the pool is about a 30 minute drive, also bring all your essentials-salf/pepper, cooking spray, etc. No Keurig, does have coffee pot with timer, etc. master bedroom /bath secluded upstairs which is nice!! the small deck where the hot tub sits is not well kept, but this is probably the mountain life. wrap around porch is beautiful. TVs in all the rooms with streaming. Close to absolutely everything!
