Not really the Margaritaville experience we wanted

The employees here were all nice. Warm breakfast served is good with healthy options like fruits, yogurt or cereal for a lighter start. The rooms are not huge. We were in room 620. Not sure if we were close to plumbing but every few minutes we’d hear a loud gushing sound. I thought it was toilet flushing. My husband thought the kids left water running but the sound was coming from outside our room. Not a relaxing or enjoyable thing to hear all day and night. Water pressure was good. They have a couple of pools and a hot tub next to the indoor pool. Both pools were tiny. The outdoor pool sits in the shadow of the building where most times it does not get any sun. It reminded us of a motel size/quality pool. Not what you would expect from a Margaritaville property. Not really an island feel here either. No big filp flop or pop top to be found. They have a gated parking lot which is good but make sure you don’t come back too late or you’ll struggle to find a spot. The main reason we would not book here again is that the hotel is located right on the Parkway road. You hear EVERYTHING. That street is so busy and cars love to rev their engines. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. On the bright side, it is only a 2 minute walk to the island and you get to avoid all the traffic congestion getting there. If you stay here to drink moonshine, wine and other spirits I’m sure you’ll sleep just fine. 😉 We were really excited to stay here though.

I have stayed at this particular hotel several times in the past and had a really good experience but this experience was really lacking. We had no room service for three days we were there. The two trash were really small and were overflowing with just a few items. By the end of day two, the trash was overflowing into the floor. We had to ask for clean towels and the floors of course were not cleaned during our stay and we had a toddler. Staff was not friendly. Just not a good experience
