The cabin was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The location is great if you don’t want to deal with steep mountain roads, and it’s only about five minutes from the main strip, which was really convenient.There were a few minor maintenance issues (the dishwasher soap tray was faulty and the microwave handle would stick), but nothing that significantly impacted our stay.However, on day two we noticed a strong septic smell coming from the basement that started to spread throughout the house. By day three, it had become pretty overwhelming. Anytime the basement bathroom was used, the smell would travel through all three floors of the cabin.We contacted the host, and while no one was available that evening, a handyman came out the next morning. It turned out to be a septic issue that required repair, which was addressed that day. Unfortunately, we had planned to spend that day at the cabin but had to leave due to the smell. When we returned that evening, the issue appeared to be resolved and the odor was gone.Aside from the septic problem, the cabin itself was nice and the location was very convenient.
