Unfortunate Stay — Series of Issues

We came in to stay for the PGH marathon and had quite the unfortunate experience. Started with when getting into our room, found the previous occcupant’s leftovers in the fridge. After throwing that away, discovered that the TV wasn’t working… at which point figured it’s fine, wanted to get to bed anyways. At this point it’s around 9pm and music from another floor can still be heard and felt (would continue through 10p). The bathroom was not clean either. Nor the floors throughout. Some kind of bug was crawling over the sheets… I am not sure if we were just extremely unlucky given the other reviews but as expensive as the room was, it was definitely not an experience we expected. We won’t be returning to this hotel. As a quick aside, the person we checked out with was extremely kind. Hopefully this experience was more of an unlucky one for us and not indicative of the average experience.

Mold in the ice bucket, the roughest towels I’ve ever used in my life- like sandpaper. The room was small and many little things in it were broken. Bedding felt cheap. The window shades didn’t close all the way so the streetlights kept me up both nights. All that for a steep nightly rate!! Terrible experience!

To start, the parking is ok you have to pay for a garage or valet. Walking in there was a big black dark drape with no direction of where to go. Front desk staff barely gave informarion on anything. The room looks like it was an after thought the beds might as well be on the floor as they are about a foot off the ground. The bathroom has calcium ribgs on sink and tub the room is dark dingy and not cozy at all. It feels like a motel instead of almost $700 a night room! The only good thing is the view of PNC Park. The other awful thing, if you stay on a night there is a wedding dont plan on sleeping or having any type of quiet time. The music was so loud it was vibrating the beds. Upon calling the front desk all they said was what time it would end. I would 100% not recommend this hotel!

Was hoping that someone working there .might have a little concern that our reservation was for 4 and they only provided 2 towels and would kindly have someone bring us a couple more towels as we got in late and paying the highest price in the area you would care enough so we dont leave a horrible review for service. Anyways they decided to rudely tell me come get it we dont have anyone to bring them up. Other than the service the place was nicely situated near the center of the city. I would definitely try another place to stay where the service was friendlier and more accomodating.

Hotel looks nice but is very old. My wife and I had cold showers the first morning. They "fixed" the problem, so that the water temperature fluctuated between cold and scalding hot without our touching the controls, several times. Also, the restaurant at breakfast had terrible service. We waited 45 minutes before getting food. At 40 minutes we asked about it, and to get water refills. The waitress told us we had the wrong person, the "right" person was rude on delivering the food. We never did get more water.
