The smell of the sewer system was in the room ,the vast majority of the time i was there.I left the hotel 3 days before I was suppose to leave.Knowing there was no refund.No mat was outside the shower. The floor was all tile.I had to use a towel, and believe the hotel charges extra for more pillows and towels.

Staff wasn't as personable as expected, breakfast was actually just toast or toast with a slice of very thin ham and cheese that was pasteurized. The room needs an update, water was cold or luke warm throughout entire stay, the sink was hanging on by a thread and toilet seat did not cover toilet.

Room didnt look like the lictures, mattress were old and lots of stains, towels were old and had holes and stain, not enough towels, no hand towels ,no wash clothes. Breackfast, i waited 45min for acrumble eggs, i complained at front desk, they didnt care.Dind have coffe maker in the room, counters falling apart., only one bathroom one shower..this was a suit room..very disappointing.

We booked a two bedroom efficiency suite and were given a cement cell block with two beds. The AC didn’t work and the ceiling fan was broken. The door was semi broken and didn’t close properly, which made us feel unsafe. We are budget travelers, not expecting luxury, but this place was awful! We lasted about twenty minutes and left for an alternate rental we were able to secure. They refused to refund even a percentage. Terrible experience all around.

This is no Hilton. But it's an affordable and cozy place to stay. Walkable distance to 5th av and the beach. If you go to Playa Del Carmen or any of the cities in the Riviera Maya you should be more time outside exploring the beauty of the beaches, cenotes and parks than in your hotel.

Great location. Good food options. Nice enough front desk staff. Theft problem. Overbooking. We arrived in Christmas Eve to find they did have our reservation. We booked a superior suite with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen for a family of 6 paid in full with Expedia. After some debate they put us up in separate rooms because our room category was completely booked. The following Christmas morning we spent trying to resolve the issue with no real result except the option to not pay again. We were then given a larger suite with still no kitchen on the third floor (no elevator) with a promise of giving us a room with a kitchen the next day. At this point I can only assume that the property got their money,because they stopped asking, but we were stuck with new unplanned expense, now having to spend more on meals for 6 and having to settle for a lesser room than what we originally paid for. On our last day, they offered to move us to a room with a kitchen that simply had three large double beds. Needless to say, we had moved all of our belongings 2x already and it was useless to move from the 3rd floor to the 1st again with a day left. Several people had money and other valuables stolen, including next door. We did not leave anything behind, so we were lucky, but understood why our things were always neatly rearranged but the

Close to fifth avenue they don’t have parking you have to park on the street and pay for parking on the weekend a lot of noise, in our room the water closet in the toilet didn’t work when you flush the tank would not fill up with water or it will take a long time to filled up the door had a hole an you could see into the room and the shower if you open the hot and cold water only hot water would come out so we end up using cold water the rooms were clean the receptionist was really nice she was really helpful they offer free breaks fast but it’s only toast with coffee tea or agua de Jamaica when it rains the floors are really slippery

They replaced me to a hotel in front of 5th (very very very loud until 4am) the toilet flush is not working, the shower is awful, and the breakfast was only a toast bread with butter and coffee, I stayed in a hostel call by maya monkey Cancun, but I swear I had the best experience ever I could meet so many people from everywhere, the food was amazing (breakfast as well) they have a bar for you enjoy but close early for you rest it was a lot funnn!!! And same price I highly recommend it (THE HOSTELLLL) not this one
