Hotel is an excellent choice. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Staff is incredibly kind and helpful and the vibe here is fu. It's extremely close to the ecological parks which makes it convenient. 5th Avenue and the Playacar shopping center are super close within walking distance.

This hotel had the most beautiful lobby I have ever seen plus it was Christmas time so it was decorated nicely. Food was great restaurants were great. Mainly complaint would be the beds. You could feel the coils. Not comfortable at all, but the room was beautiful.

I thought the property was clean, rooms were clean, nice adult area pool and swim up bar. There were activities by the other pool each day and entertainment at night. Several options for dining and buffet. Didn’t care as much for the dining places so ended up doing buffet more. The steakhouse dinner was really good but others we tried didn’t like as much. All and all in was a nice resort.

The Riu's strongest asset is their hospitality.....from receptions down to the service staff. We had two issues in our room that needed service and within 20min of notifying reception, we had service. While at the pool, I accidentally hit the Emergency alert on my watch which alerted my contacts. They notified the reception desk and the staff there promptly began a search for me. I would like to thank the staff for their prompt response to this. We appreciated Frank's prompt & friendly service at Chili's lunch every day. He is a hard worker!! We also give special kudos to Luis at the pool who went over & above to make sure we had a chair for my handicapped sister during our stay. I was disappointed in the Menu for Don Rafael, specifically Thursdays. In our past visits it was "Lobster night" Although Lobster was listed on the menu.....there was no Lobster!! When we asked, we were directed to a "sea food mix" that had lobster.....not what we expected. The menu should reflect what is actually being served. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Palace Riviera Maya
