Our "villa" was clean and spacious enough with a decent view over the property. In fqct , the only issue would be with other tourists - the ones who spoil it for everyone else coming back loud and drunk, arguing with whomever they're with.
Food was ok, the worst experience was at the "Bamboo" restaurant where I tried the Paneer Masala dish, an Indian food of cheese cubes in a spicy sauce. However, this turned out to be tofu instead. I comlained to the waiter who said he would talk to the chef. I didn't hear back. Who knows, maybe the chef had no idea what Paneer Masala was...
The beach is about a seven minute walk away, you can use the facilities of the hotel there, the pool and the restaurant - but that does not extend to giving you a towel! Remember to take your own from the Tequila. Beach is good, disapponting to get so many hawkers coming by to sell trinkets to you. I counted 9 in the first hour we were there one day
Lots of Capybaras and Coatis wander around the property, they're fun to watch.
