This was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something quiet and relaxing and the Viceroy delivered. I have never felt so relaxed and well taken care of. The accomodations were private and you could just relax there because you felt like you were living in the jungle. The walk to the beach was filled with nature and we even saw monkeys. The staff was amazing and the food delivered. I will definitely come back I am so glad I found this gem.

I have been to the Yucatan Peninsula many times and this small resort is the best I have experienced. If you are looking for a relaxing time, no loud music, kids or loud adults, this is your place. My sisters and I travel to Mexico each year together and although this is more of a couple's retreat, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They accommodated a third party in the room with an actual bed, and not just a cot or sofa. The villas were perfectly attenuated and the spa experience was one of the best we've had. The food was very good and service was impeccable. We will be back, if they'll have us :)

Viceroy Riviera Maya was the perfect spot for our honeymoon! Our villa was spacious and private. We loved the outdoor shower and patio area that was just for us. Restaurant service and food was TOP NOTCH. We were blown away at every meal. Viceroy staff anticipated our every need and provided personalized, detailed service that helped us take advantage of all the resort had to offer. From our welcome tour to being coached how to ensure we didn’t go hungry despite an early checkout before restaurants opened, we were truly pampered for the duration of our stay. A special note to La Marea server Yoshio — he gave expert menu recommendations and his passion and enthusiasm for food made every dinner that much more enjoyable. We can not wait to return. If I had to offer a critique: - The neighboring property’s entertainment carried on late into most evenings and could easily be heard throughout the property. - The jungle landscape is gorgeous but I wish we’d been able to enjoy a bit more sun from our private patio. The shade made the pool a bit too cool for our liking.

The food was very very good, every night we ate at the resort it was top tier. Staff was amazing, all super friendly and helpful through the whole stay. Prepare for feather pillows, comfortable but different if you’re not used to them. Over top tier experience.

My husband and I had an outstanding stay at the Viceroy in Riveria Maya...incredible service at the highest level, quiet, peaceful and was the perfect place to unwind. I have traveled around the world and have stayed at all of the top resorts, including the Four Seasons, Auberge, Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula, Ranch at Rock Creek, etc. I cannot say enough about the staff and how they made us feel. Their outlook on life and how they love this property is something that I have never witnessed before. Unfortunately they are closing end of April 2026 for a full remodel and will not be opening again until spring of 2027. I highly recommend getting there before they close!

I can’t say enough about this place! It is amazing! The rooms are stunning. It’s one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The staff are superb. Like over the top amazing. The butler service is attentive and incredible. The spa was lovely and the food is dreamy! I’ll definitely be visiting more Viceroy hotels because of this place!
