Our beautifully renovated cottage, and 3 adjoining cottages, plus shared family heated swimming pool (open from mid May till end September), enjoy a secluded 3 acre garden, edged by a stream and woodland.

The open plan living space retains its oak beams and stone feature wall. It has a wood burner, electric heating, TV and WIFI, with glass doors overlooking the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave. The shower room is very spacious and modern. Upstairs the double room has a stone feature wall, wardrobe and dressing table, the twin room has chest of drawers and under eave storage.

All furniture has been chosen with care and handpainted in a relaxed country style.

For heating there are electric radiators and wood is supplied for the wood burner free of charge.

We provide books, DVDs, games and personalised toy boxes to keep the kids occupied.

Beds are made, with high quality linen and towels are provided plus beach/pool towels.

The private garden has BBQ, seating, for 4, loungers, table&chairs for 4.

A truly wonderful little cottage. Great location - close to good walks, interesting towns and the beautiful Crozon peninsula. Such a pretty house too with many facilities, extremely comfortable bed and beautiful garden (with stream!). Warm and welcoming host. Many thanks.

Lovely rural retreat

Nice and cosy 2 bed room flat with lovely garden and outside dining area. We took our small dog and it was ideal, as the garden had a gated area which kept him enclosed and happy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and a lovely welcome gesture of a food and wine parcel was a nice touch. The hosts were great as we had a problem with TV and they immediately purchased a new one. The local town was 1km away and quite quiet but with a very well stocked supermarket. 10 mins to local quiet beach and 30 mins from the busier resort of Corzon (which had a great Wednesday market) every other week). We didn't use the pool as my shy teenage daughter was a little reticent to share it with the other younger families in the neighbouring properties. Would definitely recommend.

Great location in Brittany for exploring

We had a great 9-night stay in Brittany - the location of the house is perfect for exploring lots of local beaches and boulangeries (our favourite was Pain d’Annette!). The check in process was super easy and Stewart was a great host, helping us with recommendations for the local vet ahead of our stay, greeting us at the property after we got in around 10pm and leaving us a lovely welcome pack, and during our stay, when he was very friendly and attentive, bringing more dishwasher tablets and helping us with wood for the log burner which was great. The house pretty much had everything we needed, and overall we had a comfortable stay, though it is a little tired. The bed in the main room was very squeaky, the doors to the garden are a little difficult to manage and there are a lot of weeds in the garden, and although the shower pressure and hot water was great, the shower itself is tired-looking and the shower head kept falling out of its holder. I think there was meant to be a bbq but there wasn’t one in the garden. It was also requested in the house book that we needed to clean the house and hoover and mop before we left - which I think was a bit of a cheeky request, and should’ve been mentioned in the listing. Overall, we had a great holiday though - thanks for having us to stay!

Fantastic place

We recently stayed at Stewert and Tricia’s place and it was everything we had hoped for. Lovely clean house, amazing location, and fantastic facilities. The pool is lovely and a great way to relax at the end of a busy day. We were also impressed by the additional thought that had gone into catering for children, such as a slide and swing set, a trampoline, football net and table tennis facilities. These additional touches also went into ensuring our stay was as nice and relaxing as possible; providing coal for BBQ’s, towels for the pool, a welcome breakfast pack etc. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends!

Lovely memorable holiday

Fantastic location with so many incredible unspoilt beaches under an hour away. Lovely cottage with everything we could need. The layout of the three site properties mean they are fairly private. People in the 3 houses seem to drop in on the pool when it is free and with a little bit of flexibility you have it to yourself a lot and for countless sessions. The owners are extremely nice and give you plenty of space. Was very warm when we attended, and some mozzie devices were needed. A mozzy shutter on one or two windows for nights would be good. Other than that, excellent and deserves 5 stars for a great location, lovely cottage and an amazing family holiday.

Great play to stay

Great place to stay in ideal location close to beaches and other attractions. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and included everything you’d need. Pool and gardens were an added bonus and owners were very hospitable.

Perfection in Brittany

A great location, fantastic hosts and an excellent Gite, A spacious, well appointed Gite, which had been cleaned to the highest of standards by the owners and their family, with everything you will need including a welcome pack. Fantastic garden with lots of outside toys await the visitors, together the THE best of swimming pools located inside the walls of an old barn. The local town of Plomodiern is only a few minutes drive away (1.2 miles) with a well stocked super market and the best boulangerie right next to the church (also well worth a visit) A variety of beaches only 10 minutes drive also awaits the visitor and a selection of aquariums and adventure parks also a short drive away Summary- For our family of 3, we couldn’t fault any part of our visit to the Les Hiboux Gite, from the initial enquiry, though the booking process and then onto our week stay. A credit to the owners Stewart and Tricia

Very sweet little cottage, very welcoming hosts

We had a really lovely stay here. It was a very sweet little well equipped cottage in an ideal location for exploring this part of Brittany. Stewart and Tricia were very welcoming and helpful. We would definately recommend this cottage to others.

A lovely cottage in a wonderful, unspoilt part of France

The cottage is spacious and decorated to a high standard. The small, thoughtful touches really made our stay--age appropriate toys and books for the children, various baby bits and bobs, kitchen essentials, a lovely welcome pack. Unlike so many self catering accommodations, there was no need to buy washing up liquid, toilet roll etc; a refreshing change! The area itself is beautiful, rural and unspoilt. There are lovely, clean and empty (early September) beaches a short drive away and plenty of towns to explore. The spacious garden with its archery set, trampoline and swings was a hit with toddler and parents alike and the clean swimming pool was a real bonus. We would not hesitate to return.

Beautiful cottage, home from home, in a great location

We have just had a brilliant week at Stewart and Tricia's beautiful cottage. They have renovated them so beautifully. The facilities were brilliant, they have thought of all those little things that when you are self catering are a faff to bring or buy. Our kids (girl age 6 & boy age 4) loved it. They had a box of great toys to use inside, a great selection of books and DVDs and outside were some great toys to play in a huge garden. The pool area is fab, again the kids loved that so it became quite hard getting them to leave to explore the beautiful beaches nearby! There is a big supermarket in the main village that is a 5 minute drive. The area is a lovely part of Brittany, local beaches were great plus we explored Crozon, Morgat and Camaret-sur-Mer which were all well worth the trip out.

Fantastic property, beautiful location

We have just returned from a brilliant 2 week stay in Les Hiboux. 2 adults and 2 children (ages 3&7) loved every minute of our stay. The gite was the perfect size for our family and has a very generous, well equipped kitchen. The washing machine was very well utilised and the brilliant weather made easy work of getting it dry. The kids loved the huge gardens which include football nets and a trampoline, and enjoyed playing table tennis after every dip in the pool. Just a short drive to the beach and a bakery, and an even shorter drive to a big supermarket with a petrol station. You could walk to the supermarket and into plomodiern if you really wanted. We didn’t explore the area as much as we would have liked to as we loved visiting the beaches and the pool! Definitely would return in the future. Thanks for a fabulous stay

Comfortable stay in an ex pigsty!

You would never know that Les Hiboux used to be a pigsty. Tricia and Stewart have done a lot of work to renovate this little building and made it into a very comfortable and well equipped holiday home. We were a family group of four adults and we stayed for a week at the beginning of July. As the weather was in the eighties full use was made of the swimming pool and also the self-contained garden at the rear of the property where we often had breakfast. The property is only a five minute drive to the local village for the supermarket, bakery for fresh bread and a very good restaurant. There are lots of picturesque local villages to visit and also big, empty beaches a short drive away. Tricia and Stewart are helpful and friendly and on hand should you need them and also very knowledgeable on local restaurants places to visit and the names of the various plants that Tricia has planted in the lovely flowerbeds around the buildings This area in Brittany is beautiful we should have stayed for at least 2 weeks if not longer to explore the area around the farmhouse and will certainly return to Brittany and of course to Stewart and Tricia's Les Hiboux

Absolutely Brilliant!!!

What can we say , staying here with Stewart and Tricia was extremely comfortable . The gite was fitted out to a high standard but also very clean. We came with our dog and what with fencing around the gite there is an acre of garden to walk in as well . The surrounding area has everything you want , cliff walking , forest nearby and of course the beaches, Fortunarely for us we had the most superb weather to match. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning location, fantastic house

Beautiful house, with spacious grounds which the children thoroughly enjoyed, spending hours on the swings, in the pool and playing with the other outdoor games provided. The house itself is as pictured but was more spacious than the photos let on. The kitchen is extremely well equipment, the beds comfy, the shower powerful and hot and the garden furniture and Bbq a real bonus. The setting for the house is quite special, and so quiet. The owners were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.The beaches in and around the area are stunning. We also loved the table tennis table which is a new addition.An amazing holiday, thank you.

The Best <3

We *l o v e d* our stay in Les Hibous, it is really home away from home. The interieur is chosen with attention to the detail, the cottage is clean and well equipped. We (and especially our dog Benedict) loved the fenced garden with entrance from our living room, the sun loungers and the BBQ. Another highlight is the pool across the yard. The cottage is located outside Plomodiern, so a car is definitely recommended, beaches are 10-15 min away, a huge supermarket around 5 min (all by car). The cherry on the cake are the hosts Tricia and Stewart. They are around whenever needed with good advice on insider tips or just to have a nice chat. If we come back to the Bretagne, we would love to stay again (but longer this time ;)

Part of a beautifully restored farm in tranquil countryside

Stewart and Tricia are the friendly helpful owners. They have achieved a beautiful restoration to make a comfortable gite. Large garden adjoining. WiFi and satellite available. Wood burner. Five minutes drive to Plomodiern and its well stocked Intermarche store and good restaurant near the church. Some of the best beaches in Brittany within 20 minutes by car. Outstanding coastline and walking easy to reach. Sorry to leave, hope to stay here again.

Perfectly charming gite in quiet countryside

We had an amazing stay at Les Hiboux. It’s perfectly French chic styled and was extremely well appointed with all the you would need away from home. The setting in the crook of a stream is idyllic. The only noise was our dogs barking at owls!! Stuart and Trish are fabulous hosts and on hand with good advice and ideas about the area. We were on maximum chill out and it certainly made for a relaxing break. The nearby beaches were fantastic to run our crazy cockapoo gang. It’s a really unspoilt part of Brittany and we enjoyed a few trips out to local towns. Highly recommended.
