My family and I visit Lava every year between March and April, we've stayed at other locations before and now since we found this location we only stay here. We have only ever stayed in the tiny houses. We enjoy how close we are to all the shopping/ dining, and we enjoy they have their own hot pool. We enjoy that we can walk to everything. Keep in mind our visits are still during colder times, with that we do not enjoy how hard it is to keep the tiny homes warm, we do not enjoy when it snows/rains or the temp drops that ants find their way in. With those "cons" we still will return as the pros outweigh the cons.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Other than being a little dated this is a great option if you’re staying in Lava. The town itself is a bit rundown but the hotel is above average for the area. I would stay here again without question.

We took a weekend trip up to enjoy the hot springs for the first time. We loved staying at The Lava Hotel. The staff was so nice and more than happy to answer any questions about the area and gave us excellent recommendations. The private pool for their visitors was a nice relief from the crowds at the other hot springs. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in one of the tiny houses. It had everything we needed! House was clean, furnished with modern decor, cozy, and everything (tv,heat,shower) functioned properly. Pool with an amazing view. It is a basic soaking pool / clean. We would stay again! Thanks so much.

Ok except the ants

We stayed one night in tiny home #1 with a small child and it was ok. They are very tiny, like the bathroom is teeny tiny. I was happy about the stay except I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and there were ants all over the bathroom floor and crawling on the bathroom counter. I was not happy about this, there were ants on the walls and I woke up in the morning and ants were also in the bed. There was not any food crumbs or anything to attract them to the areas they were in.

Quick and easy checkin, free hot chocolate and coffee on site. Everything within walking distance, hot pool on site, rooms are big with full cable. Only con is right off Main Street so there is street noise and people walking by. Night light right outside our room and no blackout shades, had to make our own.
