Really enjoyed our stay here!
We spent several nights at this property and believe that it is worthy of a five star rating overall. The highlight of this property is the beautiful and private swimming pool, which our family really enjoyed. The owner (and his parents) are super nice and live in an adjacent apartment or condo (the other half of the building), which is nice in case something should arise while you are staying there. The only slight downside to this property is that it is somewhat 'remote,' in a sense, in that it is about a 15 minute Uber ride from the touristy part of downtown to the home (about $20 USD). There is a market within walking distance for groceries and so forth, and if you wanted to walk to the beach, that was only a 5-7 minute long trip. (Because the pool was so nice, we opted to stay there if we were not doing some type of excursion). In the spirit of transparency, the property is located adjacent to a church that chooses to ring the steeple bell on a regular basis, so if you are a super light sleeper, you may want to bring some ear plugs (I don't think they ring it at night --- only in the morning and throughout the afternoon). It did not bother anyone in our family, and I even joked about it with the property owner, but I would be remiss if I failed to mention it. With that said, this property still receives a 5 star rating from us, particularly given the friendly, easy going nature of the owner, whom we really liked. We would stay here again if and when we return to Split!
