Philippe was a welcoming and wonderful host. Even though we arrived a little later than planned, Philippe took the time to show us on the map where to go for dinner, showed us our room and the facilities and didn’t rush us in anyway. The room was lovely and very well appointed. The garden was magnificent full of plants and old fashion roses that smelled of proper roses. The breakfast was a work of art, delicious and plentiful. The town centre is about 10/15 minutes walk from the house, via the foot bridge over the river. We only stayed one night but we would not hesitate staying at Clos du Moulin again and would certainly recommend staying there.

Hidden gem!

Absolutely charming place run by an amazing host. Philippe’s hospitality is second to none. We appreciated all the small details that just make you realize how much he cares for his guests. This renovated historic house has so much to offer and is just a short walk from the old town. Breakfast in the garden was the highlight - all local, seasonal produce with some lovely touches (like the edible flowers and herbs from the very same garden). We’re vegan and Philippe accommodated without a problem. This is THE place to stay in Poitiers, without a doubt, very highly recommend it!

Great host, great stay

Philippe is a wonderful host and made this stay memorable. From assisting with car parking to sharing local history and preparing delicious breakfast—everything was top notch. Excellent tranquil location on the river bank within 10 minute walk to historic city center.

For a reasonable B and B this is superb.The breakfast is really nice and the owner very friendly.If you are going to Potier this is a must .will use again on return journey.Very quiet and a short walk to city

Lovely property and an excellent room. Very clean, well furnished, very comfortable. The breakfast in the garden was wonderful, prepared individually by the owner and included edible flowers and herbs from his garden. The off site parking was very close by and was free. The owner was so welcoming and had prepared a lemon and herb infused drink to welcome us. Really lovely stay and a shame we only had time for one night.

Above and beyond service!!

From its quiet setting and gracious hosts to the delicious, homemade organic delights at breakfast we were thrilled with our choice of accommodation!! Our room was comfortable and large. It was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Clos des Moulins did not disappoint, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay!! Merci beaucoup!

Highly recommended.

Very comfortable accommodation and welcoming host. Our room and en suite bathroom was spotless, warm and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent- generous, varied with most elements homemade. The accommodation is a 10-15min walk from Poitiers historic centre. The property and immediate area has an interesting history and the location on the river is pleasant. Highly recommended.

What not to like about the property? An amazing hidden gem, from the moment you arrive you are welcomed by Phillippe, the proud owner. Located across a creek, very close to everything in town. Excellent job restoring the property but still keeping its personality. The room was a very clean, comfortable bed and all the amenities needed for a memorable stay. The breakfast was outstanding! All homemade, and whatever was not homemade was first quality. Definitly a 10,will be back when visiting Pointiers.

This was an overnight stay on the way back to the ferry. We found the whole place a delight and Philippe could not have been more hospitable or friendly. The building has been renovated very tastefully and has balanced modern, traditional and comfort beautifully. We also enjoyed Poitiers and being able to park the car securely and walk into the centre was a great plus. I cannot believe anyone would not enjoy a stay with Philippe. Thank-you.
