Disliked: Cleanliness
This property was filthy with unsafe conditions and fewer amenities than described. After check-in, I spent over an hour sweeping and washing the dishes (oily and filthy in the cabinets) and cleaning crumbs from both dining tables and counters. I removed dirty laundry from a dining chair. One toilet didn’t have a seat, the other would not consistently flush. The door handle fell off the bathroom door and the entry doorknob was loose. Some electrical outlets fell out of the wall. The shower surround and part of the box housing the window coverings were “fixed” with tape, such that it sounded like an animal playing with a plastic bag when the wind blew. The porches were filthy, with one containing two discarded sinks filled with garbage and dirty, stagnant water. One bed was “fixed” with zip ties. Another was missing slats such that the mattress sagged to the floor in that spot. There was no microwave (advertised as an amenity) and when I asked for one, she ignored me. My husband reached out to her and she told him to use the oven (the racks had old food on them and there were no oven safe pans).The host was nice and they’ve invested in upgrading the bathroom sinks and have nice televisions but are missing the big picture. We’ve traveled a lot and this was the dirtiest, most poorly maintained place we’ve stayed.
