Fattoria Santa Lucia - Le Tagliate

The Santa Lucia farm occupies an area of around 170 hectares in the Pisan hinterland in that part of central Tuscany - where over the centuries the orderly work of man on nature has composed the most harmonious landscapes in the world - where the Valdarno of Pisa ends and the Florentine one begins, on the first slopes of the hills that separate the Arno from the Valdera and that due to its position, not hampered by other mountains, only 20 km away from the sea as the crow flies, is included among the wines of the Tuscan coast .
Our Company is the western part of the large farm of San Gervasio recently of the Counts of Montauto, but in more ancient times of the Marquis Alemanni Uguccioni of Florence, with the addition of part of the farm of Montecastello, of the lands on the borders of the Varramista Farm and of portions of the farm of Montopoli dei Guicciardini of Florence and forms a homogeneous and well distributed agricultural complex in its viticultural activities, of cultivation of the woods (which after the year 1000 had been implanted with the intent of agricultural exploitation through the periodic cutting of the coppice) with the recent afforestation of the valley bottoms, of the olive trees and of agritourism management.
