As someone who will only stay at a property that has white sheets & presents as very updated/clean, this property was 10/10. Coming from someone who spent several hours looking for the perfect airbnb for our stay in Portland, to get a 10/10 from me is pretty wild. My husband and I booked last minute and the owner Randy and his team were responsive and helpful from the beginning. The property was exactly as pictured but better. At the time of booking, they didn't have any many photos that really shows the vastness and beauty of the property. As soon as we came through the gate, we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of mango trees bearing ripe fruit (we got mangoes daily).Many airbnbs in the area that fit my criteria were a bit up the hill with rough roads to drive on (based on reviews), but this property was right off the main road. I am Jamaican so I had a local driver that we knew....but you could walk right outside the gate and grab a taxi - although we recommend you ask Randy for a driver suggestion. There was someone (Nice landscaper) that stayed on site in another building so we felt safe. That area of Portland gets quiet typically by 10pm (most times). No breakfast/dinner but full kitchen,fridge,microwave,tea bags on counter etc to make own meals. We had a problem with one the bathroom sinks and Randy was immediately on it to get a plumber to come over. Hot water/ac/roof patio/ etc. 10-20 mins from town, beaches etc. My sister booked 3 nights after me.All was great!
