I wish hotels would be honest and let you know upfront that they are having renovations done! And then be mindful about placing guests as far from the work as possible rather than right on top of it. Road lodges also seem to have made it their mission to find the hardest most uncomfortable beds but at least the rooms and linen are clean and the showers are hot. I didn’t do breakfast as the cloud of renovation dust enveloping the restaurant area and buffet put me off.

Yes the room was spotless. What stood out as someone who booked on the last minute, was to get to the boom gate, and my name was already on the list that a Security Officer controlling access had. There were no hassles, and as I walked to the reception, I was welcomed by friendly staff, and received a room key with ease. The stay was enjoyable
