Please be aware that this condo building is undergoing a roof replacement as well as other necessary repairs and improvements that are estimated to last until July. During this time, there could be excess noise, construction activity, and people during business hours. Per the Board of Directors at Summerhouse Condominium, the pool access is not guaranteed during this period. The Association is unable to accommodate individual requests or make special arrangements regarding pool availability while construction is ongoing. We appreciate your understanding, and additional updates will be provided as conditions change. Condo living at its finest at Summerhouse in Mexico Beach. This 2 BR/2BA condo, unit 203, is located on the 2nd floor just a couple of doors down from the community pool, hot tub and sauna. Access to this floor is easy using the elevator. This particular unit is situated in the perfect spot to maximize the gorgeous gulf views directly across the street. You can enjoy such views from the spacious, furnished balcony stretching across the front of the building.
A little housekeeping business for the property: there is one designated parking spot for the unit and a guest parking lot; however, no boats, jet skis or trailers are allowed. Please do not hang your towels from balcony or leave items in the hallways. Also, pets are not welcome on site. *We LOVE Snowbirds! Low Monthly Winter Rates* Snowbird Season runs November thru February, on a monthly basis. To prepare a qualified quote, select your arrival and departure dates (must follow the property's turnover day, if applicable). Alternate dates must be pre-approved. Beach view, but access was hard to cross (Hwy 98) with constant traffic. Nice parking garage with elevator that always worked. Nice large deck, small kitchen, large master with large master bath. No handrails or bath mats in ceramic tile shower. NOTE: Lock to door was iffy. Sometimes the code worked and sometimes any push of the buttons worked.

Amazing! From Colorado Springs and we enjoyed our stay. I rented this property for my grandma and aunt. They loved the experience of the beautiful beach and quiet! Not crowded. Safe and handicap accessible for a 87 yr old. Place had everything for them to cook and stay in to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the ocean view. Enjoyed areas around as well. St Joe , Apalachicola! Fun shopping food and white sandy beaches...

Great location, faulty fire alarms.

This was a beautiful condo in a great location, perfect for our family vacation. Our only complaint was the 2am or 4am fire alarm that would go off in the entire building our entire 4 day stay. It got so bad the fire department stop responding on day 3. Other than the faulty alarms, this would have been a fantastic stay.

Great Getaway

Mexico Beach in the fall is hit or miss weather and we hit! Sunshine with 60-70's temps during the day allowed us to enjoy the heated pool. 50's in the evening was a great backdrop for the bubbling hot tub. An older crowd at the pool, which meant relaxation, no loud music, just good conversation and relaxation. Mexico Beach and Port St Joe are laid back little communities but have everything you could need. Great restaurants and quaint little markets. The lady at the MB visitor center was friendly and very helpful. We walked empty beaches and seen plenty of wildlife. As for the condo, clean and very well decorated. Everything you could need for anything you would like to cook. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, washer & dryer to clean up our own items before departure. Covered parking and a safe quiet neighborhood. There is construction all around but we found that entertaining watching the buildings change every day. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Couple things to know!

We loved this condo, and would absolutely recommend it! However, there are a couple things you should know. All times by the property management company are Eastern time. I never read that on any communication they sent. I only learned it on a paper they have inside the condo. So if you are used to CST, you can check in at 3pm CST (4pm EST). I would have liked that extra hour at check in. Ha! But remember, that means you have to be out by 9am CST on checkout (10 am EST). There are no coffee filters, and it wasn’t listed on the things to bring. I have stayed at many rentals, and there are always coffee filters left behind from others guests. But they also fail to mention there is a Keurig. So I had coffee, but no filters…no filters, and no kcups…lol! Thankfully the small store had filters…and I left them behind for other guests. The coffee shop in town is also closed Sun & Mon….so if you enjoy your coffee on the balcony or the beach, you’ll want that info ;) I wish there was a broom and dust pan in the unit. I would have liked to sweep more. You just can’t get all the sand off your feet like you hope to. There is a hose the walkway, but it never fails…you always bring sand back from the beach. I would recommend the owner of the unit, provide a cutting board, some decent knives, and a baking sheet larger than the very small one provided. Just the standard size you get at the store. Overall, the condo was nice. It was clean, it was easy to get to the beach. I appreciated that the condo complex allowed us to keep beach supplies down in the garage, so we didn’t have to tote them up and down. We loved the balcony, the views, the beds were comfortable, the pool was great. This is definitely worth your money and vacation…just make note of the things above, and I think you’ll be completely happy :)

Perfect relaxing getaway

My husband and daughter accompanied me on this trip. The condo was perfect and roomy. As expected lots of construction is ongoing in the town, but we didn’t find the occasional noises bothersome at all. B

Wonderful town, condo and view

The condo was comfortable and clean. The master bed is wonderful. Sitting on the deck and watching the ocean can't be beat. The negative reviews about checking in/getting into the unit have either been corrected or the reviewers didn't read the instructions because we didn't have trouble. Overall very happy and would book again

Nice Condo but...

My stay was very pleasant here, mostly. But anyone who rents through VRBO should be aware that the property management company currently being used by the owners, pristine property management, is very unresponsive and absolutely will not communicate with you through the VRBO messaging app. I had to be very proactive about getting the code to get into the unit, getting routine maintenance taken care of, etc. And the property management company really just was very unresponsive. They had no follow-up whatsoever and we're unapologetic for their non-responsiveness. The condo is very basic but cute, everything you need and nothing more. The view is nice. The beds are comfortable. The spa and the sauna are very nice and the pool was warm in January though I can't tell you if it was heated or not. I would strongly suggest to the hostess some noise and light canceling curtains especially in the front next to the road where it is very noisy due to traffic on 98. Not everyone likes to boot and rally at 6:00 a.m. And it wouldn't hurt to have the carpets steamed or the bathtub deep cleaned, there's some funky stuff that came out of the faucet upon first use and it's collecting around the overflow drain. I would definitely recommend this condo overall. The amenities (once working) made up for anything else.

Summerhouse 203 was great!

Loved the condo! 203 has everything you need to feel at home! The pool area is very nice and the beach is just a short walk across the street. Look forward to staying there again!

Great access to the beach, but little else

I'm giving this three stars, if it could be 3.5 I'd do that, but since it's not possible we have to go with the low range. That's because the check-in process uses a rinky-dink app that never gave me the key code for the door (had to call 4 times to get that), the same app also didn't allow me to check out which again I had to call several times to do. The spot is right across the street from the beach and in an extremely quiet area, aside from the traffic on the street. The pool is nice and clean as well. But my unit was rated for 6 people over three days. For those 6 people, we were provided with a single load worth of laundry and a single load worth of dishwasher detergent (and no dish soap). There was no hand soap available, no extra trash bags, etc.
