You have to pay for parking which is not the norm for Portland/South Portland hotels in that particular area. We wouldn’t have stayed there but it’s right next to the airport and we were flying out really early and I’ve stayed at hiltons before. NEVER would I have thought they’d charge for parking. It was too late by the time we showed up and had already paid for the room.

On the downside, two weeks ago they had started to charge for parking, and I was unaware of this. I found that ridiculous, and loudly told the registration clerk so. So for one time, he waved the fee.

Parking is expensive - more than it costs to park at the airport. The heat could not be easily adjusted. We were next to a loud couple, easily hearing them through the walls. The window shades were controlled by a remote, but the wire at the top of the shade was disconnected and we were not able to close the shade. This resulted in having bright lights all night and the loss of privacy.
