Saco is conveniently located close to numerous local beaches: Old Orchard Beach (a seven mile stretch of sandy beach with a pier that extends 500 feet into the ocean and New England's only beachfront amusement park) is 11 mins/4 miles, Ferry Beach State Park 10 min/4.3 miles, Camp Ellis Beach 11 min/4.5 miles, Bay View Beach 6 mins/2.9 miles. South of Saco is Wells Beach 25 min/21 miles, Ogunquit Beach 37 min/26 miles. Kennebunkport 24 min/11.7 miles. North of Saco is Portland 18 mins/14.3 miles The Amtrak station is 0.4 miles from the house.
