Quality hotel and helpful staff

The hotel is located in the central northern district approx 20 mins walk to the main attractions. The hotel reception and concierge staff are were very professional, helpful and polite. The hotel bar and main restaurant are located on the top, 17th, floor with views of the city. My room was a single and had a reasonable amount of space along with modern bathroom. Breakfast was available on the ground floor restaurant area and had a wide choice of food to cater for different tastes, including some hot food such as scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, as well as fruit, cereals and pastries. Would consider using this hotel again given high standards and helpful staff

Splendid hotel andtrip

Splendid hotel just sensibly away from the busy area of Porto. Speedy check in and out. Pleasant comfortable rooms with good shower. Rooftop bar is great for early evening drinks. Panoramic. Lunch was good value. 5 minute walk to the Mercado de Bolhau which is a must. Never seen anything like it before. So pristine and clean. The riverfront is a 20 minute walk downhill but coming back up is not trial. Plenty of bars/restaurants/shops to break your journey. Hopon/Hopoff buses also a great idea to familiarize yourself with the city. Take comfortable low heel or flat shoes. Quite a few trip hazRds

I had a great time at the Dom Henrique. I got an upgrade upon checking in, which was nice, and I was also pleasantly surprised to be tended to by a lady at the front desk who spoke perfect French. The hotel is conveniently located, a short walk to a central metro station and to old town (and about 20 minutes to the river). Unlike the rest of the neighborhood, the hotel is a tower that has 17 stories and a rooftop with a great view but obviously, not everyone will like its "brutalist" style. The only small complaint I'd have is that I stayed on the fourth floor and could hear traffic noise (which was not too heavy fortunately). I wish the windows would have been thicker. Overall, a great stay!

The only problem was on the last afternoon/ evening there was a rave in a garage in the neighborhood. The music was very loud and annoying and went on until exactly 11:00pm. But then the noise of dismantling the venue went on for at least another hour. It put a damper on an otherwise perfect stay.

I recently stayed at Hotel Dom Henrique Downtown in Porto, and it was a wonderful experience! The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore Porto’s charming neighborhoods and attractions on foot. The São Bento train station, beautiful historic sites, and many excellent restaurants are just a short walk away, which made the location incredibly convenient. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern decor and amenities. I especially appreciated the large windows that provided plenty of natural light and a lovely view of the city. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing. The highlight of my stay was the rooftop bar. The view of Porto from there is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. It was the perfect spot to relax with a drink and take in the city skyline. Service was top-notch; the staff was warm, friendly, and eager to assist with recommendations and any requests. They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and their advice on local restaurants and places to visit was spot on. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The food quality was great, and the atmosphere in the breakfast area was relaxed and inviting.

I arrived sick and the bed was so comfortable, and was grateful for the assistance with my luggage and the smooth check in process. My husband ordered food from the bar to bring to me and it was excellent, the soup was delicious and hit the spot. The next day we were walking distance to several sites. We made dinner reservations at the roof top restaurant and definitely 5 star, service and quality was amazing as well as the views. We declined a room cleaning and they made sure to call if we needed additional towels and coffee. Much appreciated.

We found everything about this hotel excellent. Wonderful location, a few minutes walk to downtown area, very nice and clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great breakfast, very nice and friendly staff. Also, an amazing roof top restaurant. Loved it. Thank you.
