villa Genny and Emily, is located in Montepertuso a small village which is 15 minutes from Positano. Once you reach the piazza cappella di montepertuso just a five minute walk from the villa, you will find the bus stop that takes you to the center of Positano.
For those who like to walk there are stairs that lead to the center of Positano.
The villa consists of two large bedrooms with a balcony overlooking the sea and two bathrooms with shower. also a large living room with sofa that becomes a bed and can accommodate two more guests. the fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher.

This was the best place we stayed in Italy.Gennaro was amazing. He made sure all of our needs were met, delivered breakfast every morning,and provided a recipe with ingredients from his garden. The apartment was spacious with a roof top deck. The view was beautiful.

Wonderful Villa in the Amalfi Coast

Villa Genny and Emily is truly a wonderful experience that my wife and I would recommend to anyone wanting to spend time in the Amalfi Coast!! Prior to arriving Genny reached out to arrange our transport from Sorrento to Montepertuso and offering assistance in booking Capri tours and cooking classes. When our taxi arrived in Montepertuso town center Genny was waiting for us and assisted us with our luggage. Genny is a great host. He brings breakfast each morning at a prearranged time of our choosing, offered advice on restaurants and made reservations for us, offered advice about places to go and shop for clothes and ceramics. He makes himself available by text for questions at all times throughout the stay. But he is also available in person without being intrusive. He is extremely friendly and always has a smile on his face. We truly enjoyed our interactions with Genny and his family. The villa is beautiful, spacious, and very well equipped. It is honestly better than the pictures. The bed is very comfortable which in our experience is often not the case with rental properties. The views from the balcony and the rooftop terrace are breathtaking day and night. Genny's sister Emily hosts cooking classes in the family villa. We took 2 classes while we stayed at the villa (we stayed for 14 days) and would not only recommend but would encourage taking at least one class if possible. This Villa is 10/10!!!!

Excellent - highly recommend.

This property is just beautiful. Property manager was super helpful in setting us up with car services and restaurant reservations. Morning breakfast is served and delish. The property is just really beautiful - made us feel like royalty for a couple short days lol. There are stairs down to the town but there are many - we did it a couple of times but did feel it in the legs. Bus back up is tough to say the least. We knew this going in and its not a negative on the property, but you should be aware if stairs are not doable for your party. I highly recommend the property - just super nice people and beautiful villa!

A perfect getaway-Positano Villa

Amazing stay

Perfect place for our family. Out of hustle and bustle of Positano but close enough to take advantage of the activity, shopping, and restaurants. Great view. Great space. Clean and as advertised. We enjoyed daily trips to local matket. Two great restaurants in area. But the best part of stay was Host Genny. He was beyond attentive. Receptive. Morning breakfast. Helped with rides. Amazing Family Stay in the Amalfi

The best VRBO we stayed out in Europe! The host Genny was one of the best in the industry! Fresh, delicious, beautiful breakfast delivered every morning! The location is a tad remote but the view is well worth it! The home was perfect! The beds were comfortable, the showers were great and the deck is spectacular! Genny was amazing with the DETAILS! Details on a daily basis on what we were doing and going as to how to get the bus, what restaurants to go to, best beaches, etc.!! This was the best way to end our European vacation! Thank you Ginny!

Best View and Hosts!!

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable and Ginny and Emily were so accommodating. Even gave a cooking class on how to make tiramisu and pasta. Be prepared for a walk and 151 stairs to go back and forth to the apartment when you get there and to go to the very quaint town to go to and restaurants and grocery store. Regardless of the stairs, we truly enjoyed our stay at this village just up the hill from Positano.

Authentic Old World Italian Charm with Impeccable Service and Modern Amenities!

This is our best stay of all properties! The beauty of this property and breathtaking views are complemented by the outstanding service and care provided by the host. We had everything we needed for comfort such as a/c, washing machine, and dishwasher, modern bathrooms, etc., and still never stepped away from the authenticity of the history of the region. We were provded and used ingredients with a recipe to make our own Italian pasta meal! We felt embraced by the culture of the property, local dining, and shops and left with a special place in our hearts for the host and locals. Positano can be challenging to navigate, but not with this host who helped with reservations, porter and shuttle service. Daily breakfast was timely and delicious! We would give it a 6 out of 5!

A true gem with amazing hosts!

What makes this place special? The attention and quick responses to recommendations by Genny and Emily and the views. A quiet oasis away from the crowds of Positano, yet minutes away. Comfortable beds! Clean, spacious, comfortable bathrooms! Rooftop to relax privately. Delicious breakfasts served every morning. And twice added treat of homemade croissants! Totally loved the cooking class. A must do.

Fabulous Home!

We had a great time at this villa. The hosts were amazing and available for our every need. It is a bit of a trek to town, even on the bus but perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house was immaculate. The two restaurants in Montepertuso were amazing and we ate there all 3 nights. Highly recommend.

Can't be beat

We had an amazing stay in Montepertuso with Gennaro at the villa. The hosts have thought of everything, even provided spaghetti and fresh veggies from garden to make a meal. The villa is clean and comfortable. Gennaro is an amazing host. It was great to be on the Positano coast but not stay in Positano. It was an authentic Italian coastal experience. We will definitely be back. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience! Thank you, Gennaro & family

Perfect! Highly Recommend!

We LOVED our stay in Positano at the Villa. Months before we even had our stay, Genny reached out and was so helpful with booking tours, transportation, dinner reservations, etc! Once we arrived, Genny and Emily were just phenomenal hosts… better than staying at a hotel. The hospitality we received was unmatched. They brought us breakfast in the mornings, which was so yummy! The Villa itself was so spacious and PLENTY of room for my husband and I. It was very clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The location of the Villa is right above Positano, so not directly in the heart of Positano. You could either walk down the steps to get into town, take the bus or set up a taxi. I will warn you, that my husband and I decided to take the steps a few times, and they are not for the weak. 😂 We are in our late 20’s and in great physical shape and these stairs were still no joke. So definitely go the taxi route if that’s an option (& Genny was a huge help whenever we needed a taxi, I would just shoot him a message through Whatsapp and he would schedule one for us). We also highly recommend checking out the restaurants in Montepertuso (Donna Rosa and Il Ritrovo). We had booked dinner reservations in Positano one of the nights and ended up cancelling the reservations and eating up near our villa instead both nights and were not disappointed! Overall, we LOVED our stay here and highly recommend to anyone coming to visit. 😊

More than we imagined

Positano is very crowded and expensive. We stayed here and it was an incredible experience. The host family is so accommodating and helpful. They helped arrange cabs for us, reservations, and restaurants, even helped carry our luggage. The property is exquisite with incredible views. Very pastoral and serene overlooking the Mediterranean. it has a rooftop patio, where they serve you breakfast on a daily basis of fresh fruits and bakery items. They grow the majority of fruits and vegetables there locally so they’re incredibly fresh. Cannot recommend this property enough.

Incredible stay

There are not enough words to describe how incredible our experience was with Genny and Emily. We have stayed at a lot of homes and they were some of the best hosts that I have ever had. A 20 minute walk to Positano (down the stairs) and easy busy ride back, it very quickly became our home away from home. The views are spectacular and the house is extremely clean! From the minute that we touched down to the minute that we left, Genny made sure we were taken care of. Transportation was arranged for us and he was always quick to respond and give us all the information we needed to navigate. They also have an excellent cooking class run by the family and it was a can’t miss. I can not stress enough how wonderful this home was!

Wonderful stay

We had the most wonderful stay! Genny was a gracious and attentive host. He really bent over backwards to make sure we had an incredible time. The property was beautiful, our stay was amazing. The host family was the best part. Kind and thoughtful, so helpful with reservations and activities. The mornings and breakfasts were very special. Fruits from their own trees and fresh eggs and pastries. We took the cooking class and made our own spaghetti. That was amazing. I feel like I left a little piece of my heart with them, and took a little piece of them back with me. We cannot wait to return and would definitely stay with Genny and Emily.

Great time in Montepertuso

As a family of 6, we really enjoyed our stay in Villa Genny and Emily. Genny met us and helped us with our luggage. He served us breakfast both mornings. This was an easy spot to get to Nocelle where we did a family hike of the Path of the Gods. Genny sent us many texts to assure we knew how to get there. And we tried Emily and Genny’s spaghetti recipe for dinner which they provided the ingredients. The other night we ate at La Tagliata — we were picked up by the restaurant and given a quick ride home at night. While it is a bit of a hike to Positano, the buses were easy to take and we spent an afternoon exploring Positano. The place was spacious and had a beautiful patio with view. All in all a wonderful place and great experience.
