Private waterfront cottage on Malaspina Strait

2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower only) plus + 1/2 bath, furnished cottage on private 2 acre property 1 km south of city limits and 4 km to city center. Complete with bedding, towels, full kitchen accessories, TV, internet, WIFI, BBQ, and balcony. Hiking, biking, ATV trails within walking distance. Golf course approx 3 km away. Beach access for kayaks, canoes and swimming.
Suitable for small children. We are pet friendly on request.
Cottage is not wheelchair accessible.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travelers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travelers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travelers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. Canada Stays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.

The cottage was lovely, clean and had all the amenities we could possibly need. Hosts were very gracious and helpful, accommodating and understanding of our dogs, when they barked at passerbys from the homes on and around the property. The pups enjoyed having some offleash time on the beach, where they could swim and play. The beach was easy to access via a staircase - water shoes are recommends as the beach is quite rocky. Having access to an EV charger was amazing, Thanks for hosting us!

Beautiful cottage stay

Sylvia and Don's cottage was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. We loved the location: close to town, but a little out of the way and with access to the water. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the eagles swoop in and out of the trees and down to the water. The cottage is well appointed and very clean and comfortable. It's always a bonus to find places where our dog is also welcome!

Awesome place!!!!

We had a marvellous stay - so much so that we stayed an extra day! Hosts were so accommodating to us and our dogs. Facilities are beautiful. Fully stocked with everything you need for a vacation. We came from Campbell River for a few days to visit friends and every single place was close-by! Will definitely highly recommend and will stay again!

Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thank you to Sylvia and Don for the space. Warm floors and great coffee alone would make this a great stay, but add to that ocean view, well stocked kitchen and even bowls for the dog. Thank you and hope we get to visit Powell River again.

Felt like home

What a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and had everything you needed to have a comfortable time. Sat at the table, looking out over the water, watching the dolphins and walked down to the beach with Eagles soaring over our heads. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful spot. The cottage was so well stocked and so well cared for. Our family really enjoyed our time. Highly recommended

Sunshine coast getaway!

Cozy cottage for our short stsy

This is a lovely cottage with lots of amenities including very convenient laundry facilities. It was too cold, rainy and windy to really enjoy the waterfront location but would like to return in nicer weather. Our only problem was getting the TV to work properly but Sylvia tried her best to help with that.

I have found my happy place

Our hosts, Don and Sylvia were so gracious and down to earth we felt we knew them for a very long time , not just 5 days. The cottage was charming, homey and had everything one could possibly ask for. The beach front location awesome. We felt as one with nature high in the tree tops with eagles and other birds. Can't say enough good things about our wonderful getaway. Have already made arrangements to come back in the fall.
