Highlights of My Stay: Historic Character: The inn is full of personality, with beautiful architectural details and a warm, nostalgic feel that reflects its roots as a 1939 courthouse. Comfortable Room: The room I stayed in was quiet, clean, and thoughtfully decorated—perfect for a relaxing and restful stay. Delicious Breakfast: Breakfast at Edie Rae’s Café was a real treat—fresh, well-prepared, and served in a charming setting. Genuine Hospitality: I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Belanger, the owner. His warm and friendly approach really made me feel at home and added a personal touch to the visit. The delicious breakfast (included with the room) in Edie Rae’s was the icing on the cake. A very historical and truly wonderful place to stay in Powell River. We will definitely come back.

Everything was fine except for the checkin. We couldn’t find any staff in the building. Another guest who happened to come out of her room showed us where the key to our room was She called a person who either worked there or was the owner but we never did see this person

It’s very much like a museum with rooms. Kept its historical importance. Even rooms has old time hospitality. Quite unique. Only disappointment we didn’t encounter any ghost. Owner is very helpful and obliging. Recommended

The old Courthouse Inn is a nice unique place, with beautiful antique decorations yet very modern facilities. The breakfast was great.

Room was musty smelling, but that can be expected in this area. Room was large, comfy king size bed. Nice mini fridge with separate freezer compartment. The spacious bathroom was clean, had tub with a wonderful rain shower. Location was okay, a few amenities within walking distance, but lots more just a short drive away. There are delicious full breakfast options that are included with your stay and served in the little attached cafe. We had a nice water view. Was raining & late in day when we arrived so didn’t check out much of the neighbour hood.

The decor was very unique with a lot of historical artifacts and memorabilia, fascinating! Like stepping back in time! Only downside was we couldn’t figure out how to get any heat in the room. Wonderful inclusive breakfast!
