The east-facing deck is made for outdoor entertaining. It has a built-in propane grill and a tiled buffet. Lots of comfortable seating makes this the place to relax on a warm summer evening with a glass of wine or cool winter morning with a cup of coffee. An 8ft. slider brings you into an open living room. This space has vaulted ceilings with light knotty pine and a beautiful stone fireplace. These are surrounded by Lazy Boy recliners and attractive dark upholstered couch and love seat. Whether you are staring dreamily into the fire or watching a program on the cable flat-screen TV, it's hard to get up and do anything else.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, slow cooker, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, can opener, blender,microwave, and dishwasher. A large dining room table makes meals easy and accommodating. Boulder Cabin sleeps 6 with a queen in each bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Wonderful views surprise you out of the bedroom windows. The master bath is very special with a walk in dual head shower, and separate toilet room. I never close the blinds, because the 14 acres of large boulders and trees, is a strong deterrent to to any casual person passing by.
Both bedrooms share a covered deck for bird watching or bat spotting. A picnic table makes for fun outdoor dining to feed kids. The hall bath with tub/shower combination is convenient for guests.
Internet and washer/dryer bring modern touches to the cozy cabin in the rocks.
Keep an open mind as you drive through Canyon View Trailer Park, as it is quite an eyesore. The Fillingim's have owned that park and all of the land back into the canyon for many years. They raised 5 children in the stone house on the hill above and behind the park. Two of the grown kids have built beautiful homes behind the electronic gate just beyond my cabin. I have owned this cabin since 2005. I feel totally safe when I am at the cabin alone, while never having had anything vandalized or stolen. Many times the residents in the park have helped me with one thing or another.
