Great Location

The location is perfect for some activities we do in that area and it is close to our friends. There is a little convenience store close by and a great restaurant on the beach. A short walk to the highway where you have access to public transportation so that you experience local color depending on how adventuresome you are. Jumbo, a large superstore, is only 3 km away. The upgrades Miguelina has made since our last stay are great. If we have any questions, she is always available to help.

The air conditioning didn’t work. The ceiling was moldy and paint was chipping. Area is dirty and there a lot of constructions going on around the property. Door handle was broken so it was a hassle to get in. Miguelina was nice. And I thought the area would’ve been as nice as the pictures.

Excellent Location. Great Value!

Just a quick one night stay and it was perfect. Hot water and AC worked (can be an issue in DR). So close to the beach and surprisingly quiet on a Sunday morning. Appreciate the flexibility on the later check-out so we had some extra beach time. Thanks so much!

Well Equiped in a Great Location

We made ourselves completely at home in Miguelina's apartment which is only a short block to the beach which is beautiful and stretches for miles. It was great to open the balcony door and enjoy the fresh breeze coming in from the ocean. We enjoyed the convenience of a washer in the apartment. Miguelina had strung clotheslines on the balcony making it very handy to dry our clothes. There was lots of closet and drawer space for our clothes and accessories. The kitchen had ample space and sufficient cooking equipment to make simple meals. If we didn't feel like cooking, there were a few restaurants close to the beach. There is a small convenience store a few blocks away where we could purchase the basics, and tourist shops in a market place and down one street for souvenirs. It was only a short walk to the main highway where we caught a ride using economical local transportation into Puerto Plata. We did have a couple of problems with water, but Miguelina solved them as quickly as possible and all was well. We communicated fairly regularly over WhatsApp. Either we were asking general tourist type questions or Miguelina was checking to see if all was well. Overall it was a positive experience. We hope to go back again.
