The food options were terrible . I received and eggplant appetizer and it was rotten smelled terrible and was brown like it was dead meat . When I asked for it to be changed I was given an attitude . The buffet is eh ok . Best thing there is the coffee shop bed is pretty soft the rooms are pretty good but the floors are so hard I literally fell because it was wet .

Food was nasty I got sick the whole weekend I was there and they power went out 4 times while being there never again will I book with this place eww let’s not mention bugs in the bathroom and in the room shower head did not work toilet barley flushed

The common areas are very clean and updated. The staff was very friendly. There were a couple things that need improvement. Dirty water came out of the bathroom faucet and shower. The furniture in the rooms are outdated. Overall the experience was decent.

Clean, Safe, and Relaxing – But Limited Food Variety Senator Puerto Plata Resort is very clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly, and the resort feels safe and secure at all times. The beach and pool areas are beautiful and relaxing. The only downside was the lack of variety in the food—it got repetitive quickly. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a quiet, safe getaway, but don’t expect too much from the dining options.

We had a swim up pool room which was very nice. Only problem was the last two nights the room smelled like raw sewage. We alerted the desk and housekeeping cleaned the room but the smell came back. The food at the buffet was bland and luke warm. Some staff spoke little bit of English while others spoke none. The resort offered free transportation to the airport only if you booked through their site so we ended up paying 120 for a cab ride to the airport. If we return to the Dominican it won’t be at this resort.

I had a great stay at Senator. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. While true that the more budget friendly rooms are a bit dated; they were very clean and fit my needs quite adequately. The staff at the 24h sports bar were always energetic and ready to serve. Honestly same could be said at the other shops/venues/spa found at this resort. I had a wonderful time and felt very cared for. Definitely recommend and would go again.

I booked a room with no AC. I went to the receptionist 3 times about my broken AC. No one helped. The phones didn’t work and I had fruit flies in my room for 4 days

Food quality was poor. Staff was not very friendly had an issue with the security at the parking area. As a guest he wanted to prohibit us from parking in the guest parking area one evening in order to allow a visitor that wasn’t a guest of the resort so that he could get paid. He persisted to argue with me and when i threatened to report him he let us park. Wouldn’t stay at this property again
