When we 1st checked in, the iron was not working (not that big of a deal) and the shower began to overflow out into the bedroom (big deal). The phone to call the front desk was not working so the boyfriend had to walk to the front desk to notify them of the overflowing bathroom. We were transferred to an older room further away. The second room had that old musty smell and the ac was not working. For this inconvenience, we should have been upgraded. The only positive review I can give for this resort is the good tasting food provided and the massage I received. I was disappointed with the room situation and feel the resort did not live up to its 4 star review rating. Would not return here or recommend this resort.

Pros: Beach area & ocean is beautiful. Grounds crew were kind and constantly hard at work. Entertainment staff from resort next door were friendly and talented. "Luxury" room bed was relatively comfortable. Cons: We paid extra for the "luxury" suite, which is their most recently renovated building. When we checked in our building was without power for 24 hrs. No AC, running water/flushing toilets, or lights. Front desk staff were aware, did nothing, & lied about when power would be restored. There are huge infrastructure issues - power in multiple areas was in & out, which impacted food and drink available, but never impacted VIP areas. We were offered no explanation, compensation, or recourse aside from a paper feedback form. We regularly had our towels removed & not replaced, housekeeping would enter the room with the do not disturb sign up, & they would shut off the AC every day. Food & drink are ABYSMAL. No selection of spirits except rum, melted syrup drinks, & one type of draft beer. Buffet was underwhelming, guests would mob the ONE pan of bacon each morning. Restaurant food was passable but everyone in our group spent lots of time in the bathroom. There is nothing to do. Activities are few, there is little shaded/outdoor space to enjoy the resort, one real bar, & the area is not safe for exploring. Idk what people do when it rains! Expect to get up at 6AM to get a recliner by the pool. We got up at 7 to get one at the beach each day instead. Stay ANYWHERE else.

This was the worst stay I ever had. Staff barely spoke English. They didn't have hot water at all. Showers was cold. You have to pay for room service. We didn't have face towels or regular towels when we checked in. Would not be going back
