Casa Guacamole now has fiber-optic internet!

Casa Guacamole is a very special property that sits on the hill above Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in the "Gringo Gulch" area of downtown Puerto Vallarta. A three level hacienda offering 180 degree views of Banderas Bay and the ocean from all 5 bedrooms, great room area, kitchen, dining area and pool. The 3rd floor has two bedrooms with ensuite baths. The 2nd floor includes master bedroom/bath and 2 other bedrooms - one bedroom has ensuite bath, the other has a large bathroom across the hall with double vanity and separate areas for shower and water closet. All bedrooms have large balconies and king size beds, with the middle bedroom on 2nd level (bedroom #2) and the southern bedroom on the third level (bedroom #5) having the option to split the king size beds into two twin beds. Main level has formal dining area for ten, media room, family room, kitchen, casual dining area for ten, full bath, pool, outdoor dining area for ten, and fountain - "open-air" concept so few walls to delineate the space. There is a nice breeze throughout the home, but all bedrooms have air conditioning. The pool area has a large built-in 8 burner grill, lounge chairs, dining table for ten, as well as a fountain and swing chair.

Two lovely women, Erika & Carolina, enhance your stay by coming six days a week to do housekeeping and provide complimentary breakfast cook service {excluding Sundays, holidays, and check out day}. They are also available to prepare lunch or dinner for a nominal charge. We highly recommend this service, as they are as talented in the kitchen as they are pleasant. Our concierge can arrange most anything you'd like at the casa: airport transportation; massages, facials, and pedicures; excursions.

Casa Guacamole's location offers stunning views, as well as close proximity to great restaurants, night life, shopping and only 5 blocks to the beach/Malecón. We are on the hillside, but an inexpensive cab ride can get you to the house if walking the incline is not your thing.

This property is truly unique and amazing! The photos do not show all the great detail and history. Would absolutely stay there again! The roads are steep and narrow leading up to the property. But that is part of the charm of the neighborhood.

Casa Guacamole is without doubt the best VRBO I have ever rented! It’s so well designed with beautiful decor every time we turned around. We loved the ‘babies’ we saw thru out your home, channeling good luck and energy! The views were impeccable from every room. My family had an amazing few days there with 2 wonderful women who made sure everything was well taken care of. The only draw back would be getting there as most drivers were not familiar. But we made it happen! The walk down the hill was ok but going back up the steep hill was hard. I would still recommend it because the house itself was beyond excellent, very charming and quaint. I can’t say enough!!! Thank you for our stay!!!

I would give 100 stars if I could! Don't hesitate to book this place. I never dreamed we would spend so much time in the pool just admiring the beautiful bay, and enjoying the house itself. The table you see in the pictures is set beautifully for every meal. Erika and Carolina are truly gems as people and stars as chefs. Every bedroom is comfortable with its own a/c control. Every bedroom has a private outdoor area. All but one bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. There are STEPS! Stairs up to the house and steps up to the bedrooms. Be mindful, that's all. Don't put your most senior citizens in the top floor penthouses! So blessed that we found this place and thrilled at the good time we all had. Thanks for all of the staff who made this a great experience.

Magnificent Villa overlooking Paradise!

There was so much that was perfect about our week, that I don't know where to start. First of all, the communication was excellent. Any question that I had was promptly answered. Sophie, my initial contact and Jorge, our concierge were available 24/7. We fell in love with Erika and Carolina, who prepared meals for us. They were at our beckon call to make sangria, or guacamole. It not only was delicious, but made with love. Bedrooms were perfect and comfortable. Each has a gorgeous view of Banderas Bay--there is no bad room. I can't imagine a Villa that rivals this one. We loved how the Villa is laid out and bedrooms were spread out enough to provide complete sleeping privacy. The pool was refreshing and clean. It is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Puerto Vallarta and we felt 100% safe. You are only a short stroll away from the Malecon, dining and shops, but if you didn't want to trek the hill, Uber's were quickly obtained. We are already discussing coming back next year. Muchos Gracias to the entire staff of Casa Guacamole--you have provided memories for the 8 of us that we will remember forever!

Experience the beauty of PV from Casa Guacamole

This is truly a stunning open air home. Each bedroom offers spectacular views of the ocean. The pool area was a great gathering place for the family during the day. The hit of the stay was definitely Erika & Carolina. They kept the place spotless and prepared better meals than anywhere else that we ate. We will be back.

Beautiful Property & Views

We stayed at Casa Guac 14 nights spanning Christmas and New Years. The home itself is stunning. It was sparkling clean & very comfortable. We were an extended family, with two people in their 80's. Be aware that the stairs are extensive at this property. We knew there were three stories, with bedrooms on the second and third levels, and planned on the grandparents being up just one level, which they can handle. But what we didn't know is that just to enter the front door you have to walk up a very steep incline, then go up a long staircase. That was quite difficult for the older folks. The views are absolutely spectacular, especially at New Years. We had a sweeping view of all the fireworks around the entire Bay! A drawback of being up on the hillside above PV is that sound reverberates upward all the way from the boardwalk way down below. There are tons of loud festivities (someone on a microphone all the time) during the xmas holiday season in the evenings, and at times it sounds like they are literally right on your patio - well into the night. There are also loud dogs that bark a lot. That was difficult for some of us. Overall, Casa Guac was absolutely lovely and I'd stay there again, but not with people that have mobility issues (or younger kids- so many stairs), and probably for a week or less. The location, right in centro, was awesome for us that could manage the walk. We loved getting to know PV's centro!

It's Perfect!

We chose Casa Guacamole for a Saturday to Saturday stay to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday based on a strong recommendation and the property, host & amazing chef's still exceeded our high expectations, so it's my pleasure to give this stay 5+ Stars so that others may enjoy as we did! We had family stay for the first part of the week, then switched to host friends in the second half, it was perfect. Every room is truly amazing and has it all, easily enough room to sleep 2 in each room, amazing view, and a balcony plus great individual room A/C units that get as cold as you would like it. Staff was outstanding and that's an understatement - meals were EASY and BEST WE'VE had!! We asked for many recipes to attempt to recreate - Make sure to order Chillaquilles for one of your breakfasts!! Gladly answer any questions, we stayed in in October of 2024!

Best Place Ever

We have had the opportunity to do a lot of travel and we cannot rave enough about the Casa Guacamole experience. Every bedroom is spectacular and beautifully appointed with Its own bathroom. And, because the Bedrooms are located on floors two and three there’s a lot of separation between the common area and the bedrooms. The views from the common area on the main level are unparalleled. There’s so much space on the common area. Our group of 10 was easily able to hang out with with each other or to get away from each other. We ate at all three of the dining areas and Carolina and Erika were the most gracious chefs and greatest cooks that you will get the opportunity to experience in Mexico. The pool is spectacular and was serviced on a daily basis, as were the many plants scattered throughout the casa. While there is a little bit of a climb to get to the house, it is a simple cab ride from downtown if you don’t want to get the exercise. If there’s any question about where to stay in Puerto Vallarta With a larger group, there’s no question that this should be the only place that you would want to stay.

I thought the property was really great. There was plenty of room, and the views were amazing. The property manager, Alfredo, and the staff, Erika and Carolina were available at all times when we needed them. I would highly recommend this property for large groups who want a vacation inside a vacation.

Fabulous and beautiful vacation spot!

If I could give this gorgeous property more stars, I would. The pictures don’t do it justice. I came with my 6 girlfriends to celebrate our birthdays and we loved every minute. The views from every room are breathtaking and the service from the staff was incredible. The owner was super responsive to every single (sometimes annoying) question asked. This was by far the best Vrbo experience I’ve ever had. We will be coming back!

The Best Vacation Ever!!!

This property is breathtaking. It is so open and all 5 bedrooms have a balcony that overlook the ocean so there is no bad room. Each bedroom has it's own private bath. Only one bedroom has it's bathroom across the hall but not a bid deal. The service and meals that we received from Carolina and Ericka was 100% amazing. Anytime we go to PV, this will be our home of choice. The walk down the hill to the shops and restaurants was not bad. Everything is so close to this location. We did not rent a car but used Uber everywhere we went and it was so cheap and convenient. 9 of us were so comfortable and didn't even use one bedroom so I think a group of 10 would be perfect. Thank you Andrea for sending us so much information and completely preparing us for our stay. You are the best host ever!!!!

Simply Amazing!

This property is spectacular! As I walked in, it was even more impressive than I could have anticipated. The pictures are fantastic but do not do the property proper justice. There are quite a few steps to get to the property, but it is more than worth it once you enter. The host was terrific in helping coordinate some activities in the house; we had spa services in the place, and it was the perfect backdrop for a relaxing spa day. Also, the communication was impeccable. We stayed at Luna Liquida Hotel, which is a short distance from the house, and we checked out to do some sightseeing, and when we returned to get our luggage from the hotel, Fernando, the groundsman, had already brought all of our bags to the house. The maids, Carolina and Erika, were also extremely helpful, friendly, and excellent cooks. They were so sweet and made the stay even more enjoyable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It truly was remarkable and something I will never forget.

The house is stunning! Great AC in each room. Indoor/outdoor areas were fabulous to hang out in. The breakfasts by Erika and Carolina were delicious. Amazing view from the pool deck area and each balcony. The only negative would be that the house is up a steep hill so may be hard for anyone disabled or difficulty walking.

FANTASTIC

The whole over all experience was great. The staff was wonderful and they cooked great meals and kept everything tidy and clean for us and they were very pleasant and wonderful. I would definitely recommend other people to stay at Guacamole home. And I look forward to a return visit there .
