Nice hotel, but very small rooms and food was not that good. The choice of restaurants was not great. Needs a diner type restaurant that kids can go to get a burger or hotdogs.

Near enough to good restaurants but quiet enough to be relaxing. Good rooms with beautiful views and quality restaurants in the hotel. Staff very well trained and clearly happy in their jobs.

The entire property has everything you could need to have a relaxing vacation. The staff is top notch. The most friendly and welcoming. The pool and pool bar are truly amazing

I enjoy Marriott properties and have never had an issue. At this one though they took issue with me reserving through Expedia, I tried talking to the help center and that only went worse. In the end it went from just a question to being told by the manager at the call center that people are welcome to not stay here, I may recommend that advice. The property is nice, the rooms were good and the spa was relaxing. However it's close to the airport so that sound was constant, the fees add up, like the nightly resort fee. Factor in some money to take taxis as well to go anywhere.

We had booked two rooms with a panoramic ocean view. After a long travel day we got to the Marriott and the check in person was helping us check in and disappeared for about 20 minutes. We finally asked someone where he went and they went to find him. After some time they told us they had given away both of our rooms! They said they gave them to a pilot who needed them. They then wanted to send us to another resort for a night! I refused to go to another resort and after about 1.5 hours of standing there they put us all in one cheaper room for the night. I talked to another woman staying there the next day and she said the same thing happened to her last year. Crazy me to find out Marriott has a deal with some airlines that pilots can get rooms whenever they need them and take a paying customers room away at will. So Marriott takes the money from the airlines for this deal and doesn’t advertise that if you book with them your room isn’t guaranteed if a pilot needs it. This to me is false advertising!! If we had known this was their policy then we would have the choice to take the chance to loose our rooms after traveling thousands of miles. Someone needs to check on the legality of this policy because the customer has no idea this could happen.

Check in was poor. Pre-checked in and never received a call. Actually check in is 3:00pm, ehded up going to the desk at 4:00pm because we never received a call. Got into our room at 4:30pm. Food was marginal at the restaurants and everything added to expense. We thought we had booked without a resort fee, but were charged a resort fee. Not sure if that is my mistake or the website. Pool chairs were taken early, although half the spots no one ever sat in. I still think the pool area was very nice and the rooms were clean. Staff was friendly.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Marina Vallarta so there are lots of options for shopping and dining. The property is beautifully landscaped and has a fantastic pool which looks out to the ocean. We had a panoramic room which had a fabulous view of the pool and beach. Watching the sunsets from our balcony was incredible! The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful! Even though this hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport, the noise from the departing planes was not really an issue, likely because I was distracted by the lovely views.

Excellent location. Staff are amazing. Food was good for the most part. The hotel itself had issues. Of the 3 elevators just past the coffee shop, only all 3 worked twice in our ten day visit. A couple of times, only 1 and one day for a few hours, none. Had no water one day for a few hours then running very brown when it returned. Went away after a while. I would not let these issues deter anyone from staying here. Would we return here? Yes. We didn't do the all-inclusive because honestly, the cost is not justifiable. Just do a deposit at check in for the convenience of day drinking at the pool and the meals you eat there. Between that and eating out, we spent less than the cost per person for all-inclusive. Saying that, we're from Canada and the dollar is not as strong as the US greenback. If you eat and drink a lot with no plans to to anywhere, worth it. Parents, don't bring your teens here unless they are fine chilling with older folks, lol. Heard a few comments from teens on the amount of old people here. Not much to do for them to be honest. The Marina is definitely more quiet than staying further in town, such as the hotel zone. The other, and probably best thing, it's a proper hotel, no time share bs to waste your time.
