The property is very nice and everything was kept clean and in good condition. Check in and check out was quick and easy. If your Spanish is limited don't worry there were enough English speaking staff members to assist you or answer questions. Food option were plentiful. I'm not really an alcoholic drinker but ppl seemed to like the drinks.All staff I encountered were very friendly and nice. The pool areas were great and kept very clean. Beach area was ok. The staff did a great job of entertaining the guests. If I had 1 negative to say the bed for me was not the most comfortable. All in all my friend and I had a great stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romona. I would definitely come back to this resort one day. .

There was a lot of fly over the food, not many vegetarian options or if there was they put all vegetarian right next to meet sections. The room layout is very strange and outdated. The property was beautiful, the pool was incredible, the dining and bars were easily accessible. The beach areas were kept groomed and clean. The only disappoint was the color of the water, when you travel to the Caribbean, you expect crystal clear blue water, not brown.

Overall the stay at Grand La Romana was fantastic. All the employees were very friendly, happy, and helpful from the moment you stepped on the property. The only suggestion I have is updating the rooms a little more. Our room was clean but outdated and although my husband and i were the newlyweds our families room was much better than ours. The buffet was okay, some days the food was better than others but they had a variety of options. I would also suggest to make reservations early on for the restaurants because we did not do that and struggled to find availability for dinner at the restaurants. The entertainment every day and night was fun, zero complaints about that! I would definitely stay on this resort again!

Resort ROOMS are old, very bad conditions, NEED TOTAL UPDATE! We changed 3 rooms, finaly had to pay apgrade. The family resort guests cannot cross to all adults side of resort, including the public beach. All dining offers 3 very cheap house vine selection: red blend, white and rose all very dry. No botled beer! For good vine, bottled beer, any steaks you have to pay! You only alloud 3 a la carte restaurant reservation per stay. The beach only Suny after noon, due to the Palm trees. The staff was very helpful and kind!

The resort is very old, no water pressure in the room,had a hard time showering and brushing my teeth. All the washrooms smelled really really really bad,even the ones in the restaurants. Food is average but plenty. The landscaping around the buildings is very clean and well maintained, same around the pool. The beach is shaded in the morning, sunny after lunch. Travel from the airport to the hotel is around 75 minutes. I don’t plan to return to this resort.

We loved our stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana. The resort is clean, safe, has plenty of activities. The food is delicious and there are many options to everyone's taste. Overall great experience at the resort. Our purchased transfer to the hotel failed. Just beware if you prebook through Expedia. It took us a good 2 hrs at the airport to figure things out and at the end we paid out of pocket to get to the resort. My continuous calls to Expedia gave me a shocking result - you are not entitled to any refund!!!! It is just so much easier and cheaper to get a taxi upon arrival. Never again with Expedia and never again TALIXO car service!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The food is excellent as is the service. It’s a lovely place at a great price. The beach and pool area are lovely and the nighttime shows are good cheesy fun! The one downside was the hot water. I would never get any hotter than tepidly warm. We grew accustomed to it, but a good hot shower would have been nice.

Excellent staff. Older resort. Has to move rooms couple times due to no hot water in the first room and then the AC couldn't keep up in the second room. Nice pool... good beach. Great food.
