Love the property, staff, food and drinks "ask for top shelf alcohol"! Only downfall was the water at this specific location was muddy because a river empties into the ocean close by. ***Side note for anybody flying out of the Punta Cana airport give yourself extra time, it is a complete cluster ****. Gate changes three times in 10 minutes. so many people stuffed into one area for departing flights, we could barely even walk let alone get to three different Gates before our plane left. Arrival was a breeze, no problems.

We really loved this hotel. It is beautiful and the service is excellent. However, the hotel does not have elevators in its buildings to get to the rooms. That was not good. Another inconvenient thing is that if you do not purchase the airport transfers directly with the hotels like we did (we purchased the airport transfers via Expedia with the company Talixo), they do not allow the transfer company to drop you or pick you up at the Bahia Principe Luxury Bounganville. They force the transfer company to drop you and pick you up at the Bahia Principe Grand (the hotel located next to the adults ones), and then, they transfer you to the Bouganville Hotel in a golf car. We found that discriminatory and not correct. Hoiwever, the food was excellent and the whole staff was great. I would like to mention some employees who really made the difference: Jesenia Ramirez and Julio Richarzons from the beach bar (great people!!!) and also from the restaurants: Genoveva, Valentin and Dannin (I do not have their last names) and also Miledy Lara, Jose Benitez, Maria Silven and Jose Charles. Great people also!!!! But I want to specially congratulate very much for his great kindness his unique personality and constant help the restaurant captain Juan Adolfo Florentino!!!! What special person he is!!!! Employees like them specially Juan make the difference. Thank you all.

My name is Martine and I took my mother for her 60th birthday for a surprise. This place beautiful!! The entertainment is great and the staff is wonderful!! They sang happy birthday to mom and gave her a cake. Decorated our door as well!! I really enjoyed myself at the resort. Food and drinks are very good much to choose from.We will be back!! The Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is a very nice property and a great value. We wanted a quick and easy holiday and that’s exactly what they offered. There are plenty of places to be active or relax and locations that are designed to be quiet for those looking for a little down time. We ultimately opted for the main dining room buffet for dinners because there were lots of options and the food was quite good. This property is a really good value, and I would stay again.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Bahia Principe! This was my first time at an all inclusive resort, and it exceeded my expectations. Roberto, Maria, Alexi, and the whole entertainment team kept us engaged and entertained throughout our stay. A wide variety of excursions were also available from our resort. I highly recommend this resort, and hope to visit more of their resorts in the future!

The power went out at least 314 times a day while we were there. It was impossible to get a reservation and the front desk didn’t want to do anything about it. We had a plumbing issue when we first arrived and nothing was done about it. At least comp us a free dinner on the beach. Definitely will not be going there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort! The staff was super accommodating - our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving at 3AM. The staff was observant and mindful of our long travel day and quickly got us settled in our room. They were always super friendly and helpful. Despite some power outages that were likely out of their control, the only suggestion we would make is to be more open with guests regarding reservations for dinner. We were only able to schedule one reservation at one of the restaurants onsite because they were all sold out or not open on the days we were staying. It’s not clear that some restaurants are only open on specific days. We needed to do the buffet for lunch and dinner almost every night which got a little repetitive and old. Despite that, the breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic. Overall, we loved our trip and would recommend this hotel to others!

The resort is beautiful, despite being older. It has been well maintained. The room was very clean and comfortable. Wish there were more English speaking tv channels, but there were several. The buffet restaurants were amazing. Food was incredible. The ala cart restaurants were hard to get reservations at. But the 3 that I attended (Japanese, French and Mediterranean) were amazing! One thing I missed was blue water - Although the beach was extremely clean, the water was not blue. I was told Punta Cana or Bocachica are better for blue beach water. And there are a lot of flowers on the beach, causing A LOT of bees. So I did not stay on the beach at all. Poolside was a great alternative. Plenty of available seating.

The best part about the property was the entertainment staff and the variety choices of food. The rooms are huge. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The staff s friendly. The spa was A+ BUT.. - the beds were too hard and uncomfortable -we couldn't get onsistent hot water in the showers -the rooms dont have extra outlets to charge your phone - the tvs in the room only have 5 english channels and you can't change the other channels in the settings -alot of kitchen and housekeeping staff dont speak English - the excursion people inside selling you outside the resort things to do, dont give you all the correct information. Like you have to pay for beverages. (Make sure to ask about hidden fees) -the power kept shutting off 3days in a row,morning, noon and night while at dinner, during event shows, while taking showers, using the bathrooms and when the power shuts off at night you cant see anything in your room and the water doesnt work in your room nor will the toilet flush until power is rstored. No accommodations were made or an explanation given. There was no bad weather any of the days. -although they eventually accommodated my friends after speaking with several management staff. There were large roaches in they room. When moved to another room they found more roaches. So please be cautious you dont want to carry things like this home with you. They did spray both room nd apologized. One staff was not so nice and replied that your in the DR. your going to see bugs -
