Had to ask everyday for wash cloths, i guess they wash with their hands, also i felt as if i were at a senior living hotel, elevator music all day everyday, the shows at night were not entertaining and nobody speaks very good English, they should have the same entertainment that is used at the palace just on different nights, and the food was ok..

Montero at Mamey made every morning bright. Omelette station was the best option for breakfast. Rooms were very dated, furniture-wise, and the bathroom shower set up was a bit inconvenient, but still got us clean. The pool was just the right amount of activity, but PLENTY of chairs. Same with the beach. The beach was clear of and seaweed and lovely to stroll down. Housekeeping was pompt and did a great job, respectful of our personal items. Check-in and check-out was flawless. It was also easy to get change at the front desk. Even though the resort was full (based on expedias booking info), reservations at restaurants were not entirely unattainable with a standard package instead of premium, may just have to have a little flexaility with time. Overall, we cant wait to come back and support the Barcelo brand.

The staff at the breakfast was not friendly at all. It was hard to find a clean table that had silverware & napkins. There were 2 people (maybe) that asked if we would like coffee. We went to breakfast every morning and they were always out of scrambled eggs. I feel like they lacked eggs, unless you stood in a long line for an omelette, which took forever. They were not friendly at this resort. The only friendly people were the bartenders in the main lobby area. They were always nice & seemed like they liked their job. Otherwise, everyone looked miserable. Sadly, I will never be back to this resort. We were upgraded to VIP room, but I'm not sure what it meant to have 1 free drink daily? We got free drinks all day. It was ALL INCLUSIVE. Our room was NOT clean. They gave us 2 bath towels for our whole stay, and 1 hand towel. No wash cloths at all and no bath towel to put on the floor, which got really wet after each shower. I was not impressed with the rooms at all.

We had an absolute great time at this resort. From the moment we arrived to when we left, there was not one thing we had a complaint about. We went for our honeymoon and are happy that we chose Barcelo. I want to commend Patricio Cimili from Guest Experiences for making sure our stay was perfect. He was constantly making sure we were satisfied and guided us throughout the whole trip. If i could give 10 stars, i would. We are already looking into dates for next year because we are absolutely going back.

The Resort all together was clean and safe. The buffet food I give it a 8 of 10 and thats for all of them. The restaurants I made reservation werent the best.(Italian, Mexican and steak house) You can only get wine and beer and the don't make cocktails in a lot of them. The staff was very attentive when I needed assistant. The beach area was very clean and the pool. I loved the live bands in the evenings.

I have given this hotel the grace of knowing that they were probably understaffed. I stayed 3 nights and I’m glad I did not extend my stay to 5. The staff some of them were pretty nice but some you could see they were overworked, some interesting things happened. We booked for the adults only, and were place in the grand palace…when asked it was “due to capacity “ which does not reflect my reservation…this is a reservation so what do you mean capacity. We were kindly walked to our rooms, long walk since we checked in in the adults side. My key didn’t work, the room was not cleaned properly and we were given only two towels, of course we called politely and asked for our jacuzzi to be cleaned and it never happened, when I called for the towels I was told I couldn’t get a new one until the next day which I understood because it was like 11-12 we were two people, we had one hand towel that we used for the floor by the shower and used the other two. After a long day of travel we went to bed to be waken up at 2 am with a person with towels…. I explained that we were told that we had to wait till the next day, the lady explained it was not true and that she did not have hand towels. I took the towels and moved on, then at 6 am someone knocked again with towels… my stay felt like a hospital I was already irritated, the free wine was bad, I cannot speak for the liquor because neither me or the other person drinks. You can only take their taxis out of the hotel no Ubers allowed in.
This was nice and relaxing and the view was beautiful, I just hated the weird policies they had.

Property was clean but staff at the buffet was not very tentative. I didn’t care for the food. The bathroom was outdated but beds were very comfortable. What I didn’t like was when on the beach there was no waitress taken any drink orders. We stayed at the adults only side and had to go to Paradise side for entertainment not much to do at the adult side.

Been to Punta Cana before at a different resort had a fabulous time this one I know to never step foot again. We were a large group and started planning things in advance. Once we got there there was no reservations or anything scheduled for us. And since we all bought the same rooms we requested them to be close. Well that also didn’t exist. Cockroaches everywhere. The adult side had barely anything no swim up bar! And the one bar they had by the pool was jam packed which is understandable as there only 1 bar in the pool & beach side for EVERYONE. We spoke to multiple managers regarding our booking and reservations and was told that I never messaged the property they are unaware of who I was in contact with!! The whole day and a half we spent in customer service regarding multiple other issues with our stay to be told “this is all expedias fault not ours” until two of our party started speaking fluent Spanish than the conversation took a turn. The reservations and my messages were found!! Now it’s laughable but in the moment a complete joke. Our dinner reservations that we had we made a few changes as the manager recommended us to other “better ones” we went with her recommendations of course. And they were all mixed up. What was a big party was only reserved for 6/8 people so when we got to these reservations more often we were met with “we cannot accommodate a large party as you only booked for 6/8 people”. The only dinner worth eating was the hibachi otherwise not it.
