Great housekeeping, good bar staff. Food was hit or miss - breakfast buffet was good, lunch was good, steakhouse was good, steak at Thalassa (sp?) was terrible. Nachos at snack bar not good. Grounds are beautiful! You have to fight for a chair at the pools every day, despite signs up saying you can't reserve chairs longer than 45 mins.

The staff make this place. This was our 11th visit and we have rebooked for October. Apparently the resort was at 100% occupancy and you could tell from our usual October trips. It was difficult to get pool side seats at any at the pools even the beach at one time was full. The only major complaint I have that the resort should deal with are the dogs hanging around the Bloved restaurant. I love puppies as much as the next person but not when I’m eating out. Food was great, again we did have difficulty getting in at the restaurants but once there treated like rock stars by staff and food was varied and tasty Happy to go back in October to see our Dominican friends.

Absolutely loved our stay! The staff was so friendly (shout out to Ana from reception). Our room was so nice and comfortable, including a huge tub (we appreciated since their hot tub on sight is only by $$). The beach was beautiful and had a sand bar that went out so far but there will be seaweed on the beach each month but it’s still gorgeous. The pools, restaurant's, and bars are lots of fun and I appreciated the ample amount of mocktails and coffee drinks. We did a buggie excursion and snorkeling both were great. Karaoke night was our favorite!! Thalassa had our favorite servers including Juan and Angel. Highly recommend!!

Broken shower, fridge not working , AC unit issue first few days , toilet that needed constant calls to maintenance for plunging , hair dryer didn’t work, safe not working - needed re-programming . There were many things that we enjoyed about our stay. The room was huge and kept very clean. The pool was lovely. The sitting areas for eating and lounging were beautiful and the property itself was meticulously landscaped and maintained. However, we were disappointed with the food as well as some of the service. Disclaimer - we are very into dining experiences and are selective with where we choose to eat when we dine out. We value great food more than the average person. That said, the average person may find the food here great! We did not. Nothing had great flavour, and all of the meat and seafood was overcooked. The salad bars were fresh and the fruit was lovely, so we enjoyed that. The service was inconsistent. For the most part, everyone was friendly, but nobody spoke English very well. Also, when we booked our taxi for our transport back to the airport, they dropped the ball and we had to wait, which was stressful. We won’t be staying at this resort again, but many people I’m sure would love it.

The staff were so friendly, almost every single staff person was helpful & kind. We especially loved Emil @ Bloved Bar & the ladies in the piano bar. We never had to wait long for a drink. The pools were great, but guests stake out the loungers before the sun comes up. There is always room on the beach. Beautiful warm beach with soft sand & warm shallow water.

Room was good, a little dated but we expected that. The various foods available are excellent. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Amenities are great with the availability of two pools or the beach. Housekeeping was very inconsistent as was great for about 8 days, leaving the right amount of towels, stocked fridge and clean room. It went quickly downhill for the last 4 days like leaving only one fresh towel for the whole room, an almost empty fridge other than water and not cleaning any garbage or ashtrays.

Staff was amazing, amenities were very clean, but our room was very rubdown compared to others in our group. Beach was lackluster due to winter seaweed everywhere. Food was 2/5 stars at most places. However the Italian Restaurant, Thalassa & Steakhouse were 4/5 stars for our group of 12. So much more to do on the family side of the resort. The entrance and lobby on the adult side did not feel special or all inclusive or make you exited. The family side entrance & lobby was gorgeous & impactful. Lots lots of selling on the beach so bring a book to not be bothered. We did 3 excursions and loved it all, but hands down La Hacienda was the best experience & pricing- even their picture package was awesome. All in all it was a great experience but the amazing staff are what make this place!

The staff was nice and very friendly. The food needs much improvement. We had a pool room, so we liked to sit around our pool and just have a drink or two. There were no liquor in your fridge. We asked for ice for the room at the front desk and never got any. We ended up having to take our ice bucket to a bar, tip the bartender to get ice. The lady cleaning our room was friendly and nice. We asked her for extra Coke Zero but she could only give us what she could. So for a couple of days we got two, but most of the time we got one and some time none. We also had a day with no water, so we couldn’t even brush our teeth. There were signs saying don’t drink the tap water. When I was asked by others, if we would ever return, I am sorry to say, but no.
