Beautiful scenery, Staff was very nice. The Lobster house restaurant food was the best. Staffer Louis H was super nice to us and funny. Check in is at 3pm, we arrived early, no problem. Unfortunately we didn't get a room until about 4:30pm. Also, all of the bedding wasn't dry so, housekeeping had to come and change. The buffet restaurant food was always cold. Day of check out, no one came to retrieve oyr luggage as promised. Qe carried our own luggage to the front, a bit far too. Then the staff said in spanish that he went to our room and our luggage wasn't packed. I quickly intervened and said we were packed from 3am . Everyone went silent surprised that I understood what he said in spanish. We made the best of the trip, unfortunately we won't visit again or recommend to anyone.

I recently stayed at Excellence Punta Cana resort and overall, the experience was decent. The staff were courteous, the grounds were well-maintained, and the amenities were generally enjoyable. However, one major drawback was the room itself—it did not have good air conditioning, and the ventilation was quite poor. This made the room uncomfortably warm, especially during the hotter parts of the day and night, which definitely impacted my comfort. Aside from that issue, everything else was satisfactory. The resort had a relaxing atmosphere, and I appreciated the peaceful surroundings. If the room had better climate control, I would have rated the stay much higher.

This place has everything it needs to be a nice property, but the staff and the food ruined it. Staff is very short with you, unless they decide not to answer at all and roll their eyes instead, which kind of makes you feel like a moron for daring to ask a question. At its best, food is tasteless; at its worst, inedible. Watered down drinks. In-room dining was the same. From the breakfast basics (scrambled eggs the consistency of egg-drop soup) to the evening restaurant dinners (shrimp and octopus at the 'Italian' restaurant - seafood mush). Buffets can be done hygienically. This one was a Petri dish. Even the omelet bar! -hand after hand reaching into the same small, shallow bowl with a small spoon. Meat and fish sweating in the heat. Health inspector anywhere else would have shut this down. Rooms are lackluster, a little grimey. We never used the tub across from the couch. Part because of the rust and mostly because of the skid mark. When I saw this, coupled with having experienced the food and the service when we got in, I wrote the hotel asking if I could get a refund of the rest of my days if I left now. No response. I spoke to Expedia daily about it (they were on top of it but also got no response) so that was that. Beach (apart from the insane influx of seaweed) was lovely. We couldn't swim much, but it was peaceful and there were always towels and recliners. Chez Isabelle was the highlight. Good (!!) dependable food. First and last Excellence. Never again.

Out stay here was amazing. There is an abundance of dinner options and the workers truly go above and beyond. The room service is also excellent as well. As for the entertainment, the shows are great, but the Michael Jackson show is truly amazing.

This was an amazing resort. It was relaxing, peaceful. The staff, food, and drinks were amazing. I loved how welcoming and fun the staff were, they really treated us like family. Im Dominican and they really cared about us. Everything was clean and you can request cleaning services whenever you needed to.

Excellence Punta Cana was magical! It is truly a beautiful resort. The pictures do not do it justice. We had impeccable service throughout the resort. You are in a tropical paradise from the moment you step foot on the grounds. We are definitely coming back!
