From the moment my group and I walked into the hotel, it’s been chaos. Check in was a diaster. We didn’t get our rooms till after 5pm. The rooms some of my family picked were not the ones they got. One of them had no AC for 3 days straight. Another family member had bugs in hers. It was a constant call to front desk for clean towels. And to get reservations for the restaurants, it all had to be done through their app. When we tried to talk to someone about helping us since we were such a large group, no one was able to help us. Though some of the people there were friendly and polite, like Wilkins Luis from the buffet, Luis from the hotel excursion “meeting point” and Eddy, the bartender, most of the staff were not friendly and not polite at all. The Buffet Atlantico had good food options. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were my favorite, even though most staff were rude and very unprofessional. The valley is open 24 hours and they had some good burgers. The beach had so much seaweed. Very limited for swimming and the water was very murky. Entertainment was okay. Overall my experience here was horrible.

It was impossible to get reservations at their restaurants and no one helped, the app didnt work, we had to eat from the buffet the entire trip. We also struggled to find things to do at night.

First off, the service at check in is conflictive, they debate you. They tell you check in is at 3:00 then when you show up, they tell It’s at some point after 3:00…. But if you are late at check out, they penalize you, but they can give you your room at any time after 3:00 and it’s ok. So it’s a one way street with these people. Right there was another customer arguing because his room was locked automatically at noon, he didn’t check put and in order for him to get his things, he needed to pay up the penalty. Nice huh? Place is advertised as “Family friendly hotel” and some of the main restaurants that you can reserve are off limits for kids, no kids allowed… at a family friendly hotel? Rooms are pretty basic, AC does not go down, it’s an illusion, they set it at the temperature they want it, king of hot of course to hold off electric bill I am guessing. Employees are front desk are rude, they pretty much don’t care whether you have a nice experience or not. First and last time we come. AVOID this place, reviews must be manipulated, way over rated. The first and only Hotel in the DR where they dont serve fresh orange juice, juice from a box, horrible. And let’s not get into their “open bar” concept, the drinks….. Beach is dark, unpleasant. Cheap hotel at a not so cheap cost.

The resort itself is stunning and everywhere you go is picture perfect. The decorations are modern and are very pleasing to the eyes. The beds are comfortable and the shower is big, which is really great. There are lots of bars and restaurants to visit. The stores at the resort are also great as guests can buy souvenirs, snacks and essentials without leaving the resort. The resort is well maintained and guests feel safe being there. The activities and shows at the resort are fantastic. The theatre shows, beach parties and games really kept the fun alive during the stay. Some staff need more customer service training. Some would be chit chatting more than making sure the guests have been attended to.Some would act annoyed whenever we would order from them (except for the lobby bartenders and the servers at the reserved restaurants-they were great) The AC was very weak on some days and would be okay the next day. The safe/vault in our room turned on and off and we had to wait and press random buttons to get it to work. The check in process took way too long and the staff who checked us in seemed like he didn’t wanna be there. We also had to wait for the bell boy for 30 mins before they could bring us up to our rooms with our luggages. The beach was terrible but we were told that there was a recent seaweed problem during our stay so I’m not too mad at that. Their juices are syrups and soda water. They didn’t serve fresh juices. They had fruits but the juices tasted synthetic.

I’ll be fair the property itself is beautiful but the service and staff suck. They are unapproachable and rude. My first plan was to stay here for 3 days but something came up and decided to stay for 6 days. Big mistake. Staff was horrible also no towels in my room for 2 days. I thought it was just me but my wife decided to ask other people how there stay was and it was the same experience for others no towels service sucks and staff was rude. And also for the amount of money we spent there on our stay I would have been in a real 5 star resort. Never again there.

The hotel check in service is terrible, the welcome service is terrible. Upon arrival, you cannot make reservations at any of their restaurants due to non availability. Limited staff to assist with any issues so the few staff’s have attitude with guests asking questions, limited staffs around the pools or the property for drinks services so you have to get out of your comfort zones and walk up to one of their bars around to get a drink. I’ve visited at least five or six all inclusive resort around the Caribbean island and this was just on a low class level for me and my family. We found roaches in our room and in the hallway, my mother inlaw and kids room were never clean or the sheets were dirty, we had to request clean sheets. We travel every year around the same time in order to celebrate my husband’s birthday July 26th, and this resort did not give us the birthday celebrations that we always get from other islands/ resorts. If they can retain their staffs on customer service, that will put them on top of the bar. Most of the servers in the buffet were very polite and friendly do we look forward to just interacting with them. A guest came and sat next to me in the kids club, and she had similar complaints and she went off explaining how she was not happy but making the best out of her time there( I thought I was the only one getting bad experiences)

The house keeper that I had was good my room was cleaned fresh towels daily. The beverages that was replaced daily. On my last night as I was packing I noticed two roaches crawling across the counter which displeased me. The staff in the restaurants and bars were exceptional even the ones with language barriers. It was difficult to get reservations even when booking early. For the handicapped it is a lot of walking things are spaced apart. Lighting was not bright and desolate areas when going to your room alone. My room was missing a safety latch on the door.

Very welcoming. They helped us with our luggage and were very helpful throughout our entire stay. Check in was easy. The resort is beautiful. Rooms were espectacular. The only complaint was that it was very difficult to reserve a spot at any of their a la carte restaurants. We were there for five days and were only able to reserve one restaurant and we looked immediately upon arrival.

Everything is incredible there, the service is excellent, the food, the attention, the activities for adults should only have more activities for children in the pool area, for everything else I give it 20 out of 10
