A very beautiful place with lots of activities. There aren't many things for children, but for adults. The Supreme buffet is great, they welcome you very well, always with a smile on their face. And the people who stay during the day and night animating the hotel are great and very charismatic, always making us happy. I even learned how to dance bachata

My expectations for an all inclusive are usually pretty low; therefore pleasantly surprised if I am wrong. I will typically overlook the short comings on the accommodations and food, if staff are amazing. Unfortunately, this was not the case at the Majestic Colonial. Upon arrival to the resort, we were greeted by friendly staff to collect our baggage and a young woman directing us to the correct check in area. However the check-in staff were in no great hurry nor were we greeted with a warm smile or acknowledgment. The rest of our stay was hit or miss. We had a few encounters with friendly staff but most were indifferent; at times seemed annoyed. We continued to tip the staff, but most didn’t seem to care one way or the other. Food…We arrived sometime around 4pm so the only option for food was room service or the beach restaurant buffet. We were starving and didn’t want to sit in a room waiting for room service after traveling all day so we opted for the buffet. Our selection of food was very limited as you could tell it had been sitting for a while; flies were sitting on the fruit and salad. The peel and eat shrimp was inedible - mushy; I literally spit it out. I wish I could say that was just an isolated incident, but in all honestly, it never got much better. We just got better at picking the right time and location to eat at and being very selective of what we ate. The Japanese & Mexican restaurants were good. Bring bug spray! Overall - Overrated

The atmosphere was peaceful and the staff did an amazing job with having activities and accommodating guests. The staff for the activities specifically Christina Soriano did an amazing job with keeping the atmosphere of the resort fun and getting people engaged in fun activities. The staff at the restaurants were very accommodating for a party members gluten allergy, specifically Jan Carlos/Mota and Elpidio at the Le Gourmet restaurant. Can’t recommend the place enough!

Unfortunately our housekeeper was not the best. Didn’t give enough towels for 4 people, left us, did not replace empty toiletries etc. Also it is not conducive to handicap/wheelchair people. The sink counters are too high for someone in a wheelchair to wash their hands, shower/toilet area not real accessible, cuisine be a bit better. On the family side really only one entrance to get to the pool and even there was a step.

The beach and pool areas are amazing. We had no issues trying to get beach chairs at either place, especially the pool area. Staff was very friendly and the food was pretty good. This resort will be a 5 out of 5 once the upgrades take place in 2025. I would definitely go back again or possibly visit Majestic Elegance or Mirage.
