The rooms were clean, staff were amazing, and food was pretty good at the buffet. We upgraded to Royal and had an amazing time. This is definitely where we will go next time we’re in Punta Cana.

Mediocre resort. Rooms are ok, with nice patios. Pools and beach were wonderful, but you gotta get chairs early. Also there’s little shade at the pools- highly recommended bringing your own sun umbrellas to attach to the lounges. Lots of decent food options for most, but the protein options for vegetarians is lacking (veggie dishes are literally just vegetables). Drinks were solid and free flowing. Service was either fantastic or you thought the person hated their job.

Buffet and restaurant food was sustainable but not good. Meat is not butchered the same as in U.S. Unidentifiable pieces of meat with a lot of fat. Hamburgers are a mix of ground meats with a heavy spice mix that was quite unpalatable. Salt and pepper were never on the tables, had to hunt someone down and ask for it at the buffet. The best thing I had was the soups and a vegetable rice dish. No towels in room upon arrival. Had to beg for wash cloths. Called three times and received one for two people in room. Finally left money and a gracious note for housekeeping requesting two wash cloths a day and beverage preference. Received the wash cloths but never again after that for the reminder of the week. The grounds were well maintained. Several broken beach chairs and needed twice as many on the beach. People were out at 6am staking claim to chairs at pool and beach only to be left unused all day. Husband stated the gym was small and equipment was as old as the resort and not in good condition. Rooms and resort were clean.

The resort is amazing. I’d give our room a 9 out of 10. The staff are absolutely awesome and the spa services are as good as any in the United States-had a relaxation massage -bought it through Charles the King. The grounds are beautiful. The food sustains you but is not good (I’d give it a 3 or 4 out of 10). Most of the time we didn’t know what we were eating. The power goes out often but thankfully only for a short while (10-15 minutes). That is likely the Dominican infrastructure. There are not enough lounge chairs at the beach and people put down towels and belongings and disappear for hours on end. It’s not easy to get drinks at the beach unless you are royal or vacation club. I’d go back to a resort in the Dominican Republic as long as they remain reasonable.

The resort is fabulous,great pools,buffets,à la Carte’s were wonderful, room spacious and fridge stocked with beer,water and sodas daily. The room was clean and well-maintained, but we found there to be some mildew in the shower stall. The electrical receptacles were insufficient and not so easy to access. The furniture was dated although functional. I had to contact service desk to have in-room safe repaired. Some time was taken in my wait for technician to arrive to service the device. We found all of the staff very attentive, pleasant and friendly with smiles all around throughout the resort. The drinks were plentiful whenever desired, the food was also always available for snacking if desired, while the breakfast buffet was abundant and widely varied and the restaurants on site were also easy to access. This included the chair lift on the beautiful staircase, accommodating my wife's moderate ambulatory needs cheerfully operated by security attendant. The restaurants had satisfactory portions. However, we found the food although reasonably tasty, was not quite up to our expectations with respect to quality. We found the pool was great, expansive and well-maintained as were the deck facilities (cots, towels), although some of the pavement was quite rough and should be resurfaced. The grounds were quite lovely and meticulously maintained. The staff and services were always available and helpful whenever needed.

We spent a wonderful week with another couple. The royal level is amazing. They made sure our rooms were close and we had everything we could possibly need. The beach is perfect and the bar was great Sayonara Mateo and Enrique Reyes were superb. They learned our routines in a day and we never had to ask they just know what you want. The beloved restaurant was top notch. The team Hipolito Perez Mariana Sano Wendy Pena made sure every meal was inviting and the food was excellent. We had a perfect relaxing vacation.

When we got there, the room wasn’t ready till well past 6pm. The resort had no water bc of a water main break and the public bathrooms were basically overflowing with urine and feces bc the toilets couldn’t flush. I had 4 rooms booked and they messed up everyone’s room and we had to keep going back to get our room keys reactivated bc every time they activated a key, it deactivated another key. The food was horrible. And when I say horrible, that is an understatement. My daughter ended up in the hospital. It cost us 350$US just to see the resort doctor and then he sent us to the hospital where it cost another 5000$ and 700$ to change her flight to leave early to go back home to Canada where she was diagnosed with salmonella poisoning. And instead of refunding our money for her last 3 days, they put someone else in her room that was already paid for and double dipped off of us. My daughter and one of our friends spent 3 days throwing up and diarrhea before they went home to see a proper doctor. The hair dryer in my son’s room was sparking and catching fire. After waiting 45 mins for someone to come, they shut the power off and cut the cord bc the dryer is hardwired into the wall. No one seemed concerned. The bedroom curtains are full of black mould. The housekeeper snapped my son’s phone charger out of the wall and we had to throw it out. The buffet food was very questionable so we tried using the specialty restaurants and they were disgusting. There’s so much more.

Very nice resort for the price. I've stayed at better resorts, but not at this price point. Food in the main buffet was only OK, but the specialty restaurants were all very good. The staff speaks very little English, so be prepared for a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish.
