My stay at Ocean El Faro was okay. The staff have attitudes until they realize that you're going to tip. The resort rooms are a bit outdated. Housekeeping half cleaned the rooms, half restocked the refrigerator, and never freshened the towels my entire stay. When calling concierge the staff rush you off the phone and never show up. Room service was a joke, the individual literally asked how many people was I ordering food for, clearly my reservations is reserved for 4 individuals. Why did it even matter when the resort is all inclusive. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Hotel room was comfortable and a good size. We had to change room half way through our stay because of a leaky air conditioning unit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. An assisted staff member will tell you to come to a ‘hotel orientation’ but it is to try and sell you an apartment as a timeshare. Was disappointed with the shadiness on how this was presented. Blue team did a good job of pool side entertainment each day and evening entertainment in the square was ok, usually comprising of bingo, music, talent night etc. Restaurants overall were very average. Good service and average food was the overall feeling. Portion sizes severely lacking. Lunchtime grill was good, Sakura, Japanese restaurant had the best food but very hot inside with no AC. Steakhouse portions were horrendously small! Overall, the resort is above average but not fantastic. A solid 7.5/10.

Property was very nice and well maintained…. But the staff was the worst especially in the buffet every time me and my family go in there we were totally ignored but I watched them go serve other people… I would say because we were black… the staff needs better training…one staff told me son he couldn’t sit at a table because it was a table for 4 but I watch a white Went an sit at the same table by him self and the server didn’t say anything to him… the staff was terrible mainly in the buffet

When we first arrived and went to our room, We were excited. We had the rooftop suite with hot tub. After inspecting the room, we found several discrepancies. The toilet upstairs was running, the lock to the door to the rooftop was broken. The hot tub was not working, and the lock on the front door was broken as well. The maintainence worker fixed the door to the roof top and the hot tub. Later the night, there was a storm and the roof was leaking over the bed. We called maintainence and they moved us at 1 a.m. in the morning. We were moved to another room that was not like what we paid for. Needless to say, we were disappointed. They have an electronic key system, so we couldn't leave the room during the night because we didn't have access to the room until the next morning. The next day, the staff was very nice about the situation. They offered to move us again, but we did not want to pack up again and move. They ended up giving us a 30 minute massage, although nice but not comparable to our original room.

Bueno el lugar es muy hermoso y limpio la comida estuvo muy bien nuestro anfitrión Kevin fue muy amable y atento con nuestras peticiones, los cuartos muy agradables y las zonas de la piscina. Tristemente no pudimos disfrutar de la playa pues la cantidad de algas eran enorme.😢 El servicio del personal del bufé muy malo las personas muy poco amigables, parecen enojadas todo el tiempo así dando un ambiente poco agradable. No están atentas a las mesas hay que pedirles una u otra vez elementos que hacen falta deberían mejorar esto para que las personas quieran regresar La camarera de nuestro cuarto muy agradable y amable Las personas de actividad en las noches y en la piscinas muy amables

Property is beautiful, clean and big. It has something for everyone. Dinners were good. There were many different options and we got to try them all. The only down part is some of the staff is rude. They dont want to be there working and all they do is talk trash in Spanish and serve you with an attitude. Being Spanish I got into it with a couple. But not all are like that and we got plenty of great attention from the ones that love doing their job. Overall we would go back, but they need management addressing the bad employees that would drive others not to go back.

En mi opinion no es un hotel 5 estrellas, los servicios y facilidades distan de esta categoria. La habitacion y el servicio de clilmatizacion son adecuados.No hay "ice machine" en los buildings. Los restaurantes:Steak House y el Dolce Vita buen servicio y comida de calidad. En general, incluyendo el bufet El Mercado, la comida es variada y de buena calidad, las mesas deben tener mantel, la mayoria de las veces no hay disponibilidad de servilletas (hay que pedirlas) casi siempre de papel. En una ocasion encontre una tasa sucia y un cabello en la comida. Da la impresion de que falta personal y en la mayoria (no todos) se percibe poca motivacion para hacer el trabajo, no se esta pendiente del cliente y falta la atencion que magnifica la atencion y el servicio. En este sentido quiero resaltar la atencion de Yohan de la Cruz, el fue esencial para que mi nieto (que tiene muchas limitaciones en la alimentacion) puediera comer en los dias de nuestra estadia, le agradecemos su humanidad desinteresada y amabilidad en todo momento que hacen la diferencia. Del mismo modo Keyla Nunez y Rosa tienen una atencion excelente. Civelis y Rosa su supervisora fueron muy amables en el "room service". Evelin Valdes en el "Front desk" muy amable y eficiente. Piscina sin jacuzzi, animacion turistica repetitiva y sin variedad Tienda Boardwalk, aunque no pertenece al hotel, es una pena, alejan clientes y a la vez se benefician de ellos, alteran los precios desmesuradamente, fea imagen para el hotel.

Excellent!! Everything you need to relax is there. Two issues: - Housekeeping is super slow. I can't get them to do my room even within a three hours window. - There are too many stray cats and a couple of dogs walking around all the time.

Room was completely dirty found roaches in the closet pillows had makeup marks and had no water in the bathroom the second day there. Food was good specially the steak house restaurant. Beach was filled with seaweed

It was okay, feels like rooms need renovation and better cleaning. Food wasn't the best. The better restaurants on the resort is Blue Moon and the Hibachi spot. The coffee shop was great too.

The deceitful tactics to get us to attend a sales pitch for their version of "timeshare" really started the stay on a bad note. It also seemed like the appointed service rep. lost interest in providing "above and beyond" customer care after we left before the sales pitch. The service was hit or miss. Specially at the main buffet restaurant. Food and drinks were good, up to expectations. Steakhouse was definitely everyone's favorite. The coffee launge was outstanding, the quality and service made it an everyday must. Overall had a good vibe for families with children with lors of different activities for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately due to the high amount of seaweed we weren't able to enjoy the beach and it still seemed like a pretty small area.

El servicio en el área del buffet no era bueno, había que estar pidiendo las cosas una y otra vez como el agua, las servilletas y jugos y que lo trajeran cuando se acordaran
