This place is filthy. Roaches in my room and ants. No ac. I had to change rooms. Food areas nasty. Bartenders are amazing. The only plus. I will never stay at another Riu. Especially republic. So gross

If you are coming to Punta Cana to party, this is the hotel to be. There are pools where you may relax at but there is music playing. The RIU white and pink parties were supper fun! My wife and I had an amazing time. Depending on what part of the building you are staying the beach can be a 2min walk or a 6min walk. Restaurants are pretty good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Jerk chicken was amazing!

If you want to party this is the place. If you want good food, nice comfy room, and to be asleep before 4am, don’t go here. First off. The party vibe is amazing and there is always something going on. That’s the good. The bad is the food is horrible! Edible, yes. But horrible. The room was livable but had it problems. For starters, when using the shower the ceiling in the hallway would leak water down the wall and onto the floor. Next, the A/C condensation was leaking through the ceiling as well and onto the floor. We had to keep towels down so we didn’t fall. And lastly, there were a few roaches in the closet. Not a big deal, but impacts the score. If you do end up here through. The jerk chicken on the beach is the best food the place has. It is amazing!

Rooms need some fixing details, food was not so good, and be careful with the drinks some time the change the licor/alcohol with was is made , the rest the hotel is vey good , some of the party are not in this hotel like the wild party is in one of the other Riu Hotel but if you want to go they offer transportation

Reviews did not lie about this place ! If you’re looking for that party vibe this is the spot to go to. I went with my girlfriend and I and it did not disappoint. Now the food is okay I’m not a fancy person didn’t expect too shelf. The restaurant have a lot of different options but make sure you eat before the restaurants close because after that it’s nachos , hotdogs , and turkey and cheese sandwiches from the sports bar and they are not the greatest. Other then we booked transportation through Expedia made it really easy to get to and from the hotel. I would recommend doing excursions from the hotel and not the off site people. We booked from this guy when we arrived and the day of I was expecting to be picked up and one of the big tour bus things at the front of the hotel and we ended up having to go to the main entrance of the property due to the tour bus not being able to enter in to the property and then a Honda accord came to pick us up lol a little shady but we made it and had a blast lol. The staff is super nice everyone has a good vibe we can’t wait to go back oh and the jerk chicken on the beach is definitely a must we are their everyday

The pools was dirty and flies and other things in the water. The bathroom in the room no vents and no soap, toothpaste, face towels, and the refrigerator empty. Tv station had mostly Spanish channels. The beach area was disgusting the water look dirty and the beach chair all over the place.,It certainly didn’t look like a beach area. The food is so lousy and the majority of the restaurant are buffet. The so called steaks house you have to make a reservation don’t know why cause it mostly empty and the steaks is not good and chewy and it comes with corn on a Cobb and is supper dry and roasted . There no snacks bar after 5pm. No nice area to take pictures. The front desks and maintenance have very poor communication.
